library(fCalendar) timeDate("12.03.2005",format="%d.%m.%Y")

Anyone how knows a way to go around this problem? Here is the code I enter: myDate = "12.03.2005" timeDate(myDate, format = "%d.%m.%Y") And I get following error message: Error in if

Can I create a timeDate object using only year and week of the year values?
For a model I am working on, I have samples organized by year and week of the year. For this model, the data (year and week) comes from the basic sample data, but I require a value representing the amount of time since the sample was taken (actually, for the purpose of the model, it is sufficient to use the number of weeks from the middle of the sample week to the present). What I have found so

sql functions in cru ( not d )
Hi, I''m looking at ways to encrypt email addresses rather than storing them directly in the database. There are several ways that it could be done. I could make an Encrypter class and use before_update, etc. Or I could set up an updatable VIEW in mySql. (I guess triggers might be another possibility.) However, what I would really LIKE to do is use the handy AES_ENCRYPT and

RHEL 5 vs. CentOS 5
Hi all, I would like to first preface this e-mail by saying if this topic has been covered already, could someone point me to the month of the discussion and I will gladly read it. We have been using RHEL 3 / 4 in our environment and I am very happy and satisfied with the stability of the OS. Now with the new technologies incorporated into RHEL5, specifically Virtualization, Clustering,
