Sound shuts off when going past the main menu in MGS1
I've got Metal Gear Solid running fairly smoothly in Wine 1.3.31 on Mac OSX Snow Leopard, with no instability or crashes so far. When I start the game, the sound acts as it should-- however, going past the main menu (such as to Briefing or New Game) causes the sound to stop working. How can this issue be fixed?
Here's my console output:

ccf time units
Hi,
I am using ccf but I could not figure out how to calculate the actual lag in
number of periods from the returned results. The documentation for ccf
says:"The lag is returned and plotted in units of time". What does "units of
time" mean? For example:
> x=ldeaths
> x1=lag(ldeaths,1)
> results=ccf(x,x1)
> results
Autocorrelations of series 'X', by lag

End of File Error on index optmize
I was optimizing a 650MB using ferret (0.11.3) and I received the
following error. I''ve seen some people have similar issues but I
haven''t seen any resolutions. The contents of the index directory
follow the error. Has anyone seen anything like this and found a
resolution? Many thanks.

Problema con Histograma con porcentajes usando ggplot
Estimados

create new column in a DF according to values from another column
Hi everyone,
I have a small problem in my R-code.
Imagine this DF for example:
DF <- data.frame(number=c(1,4,7,3,11,16,14,17,20,19),data=c(1:10))
I would like to add a new column "Station" in this DF. This new column must
be automatically filled with: "V1" or "V2" or "V3".
The choice must be done on the numbers (1st column).
For example, I would like

How to update an old unsupported package
Hi all,
I have a package that is specific to a task I was repetitively using a
few years ago.
I now needed to run it again with new data.
However I am told it was built with an older version or R and will not work.
How can I tweak the package so it will run on 11.1?
It was a one-off product and has not been maintained.
Is there a way to "unpackage" it and repackage it to work?

ggplot2 Pareto plot (Barplot in decreasing frequency)
Hi all
I have a large dataframe with (among others) a categorical variable of 52
levels and would like to create a barplot with the bars ordered in
decreasing frequency of the levels. I belive it is referred to as a pareto
plot.
Consider a subset where I keep only the categorical variable in question.

troubles with kzft
I need to compute the Fourier transformation of the autocovariance
function of a panel composed by 196 time series.
With autocovarance function i mean a matrix Gamma(u) which contains the
covariance of all the variables at time (t) with all the variables
evaluated at time (t-u). It can be represented by a tri-dimensional
matrix whose dimensions are (196,196,K), where K is the maximum lag

Hi all,
I noticed something strange when I ran aov and anova.

fac=as.factor(c(1,1,2)) #group 1 has first two elements, group 2 has

When I run:

problem with "unique" function
I have the joint distribution of three discrete random variables z1, z2 and
z3 which is captured by "z"
and "prob" as described below.
For example, the probability for z1=0.46667, z2=-1 and z3=-1 is 2.752e-13.
Also, the probability adds up to 1.
