PDC problem
Hello,
I have a problem with a LDAP backed based Samba PDC.
Last week, due an hardware problem, I lost my primary LDAP server
and PDC. I reinstalled the LDAP server and populated it with the old
data, I also reinstalled Samba.
The problem is that I can't log in to samba as root
(cn=root,dc=info,dc=uvt,dc=ro). All others user accounts ar working
except root.

Sweave function
Dear list,
I have a question about the interaction between R code and Latex language trough the Sweave function in the package "utils".
What I'm trying to do is to write a report. Contrary to the examples shown in the Sweave Manual in which table already constructed by R are "exported" on Latex files, what I would like to do is to build a table in which I combine text and

Looks like it's the Virus is forging my address now... :-( Jeesh.
What a waste. If the guys writing viruses would put their energies into
REAL code, we'd be so much farther ahead.

Regarding the 'R' Load Command
Hi,
I'm new to 'R' and need some help on the "Load" command. Any responses
will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
As per manuals, the "Load" command expects a binary file input that is
saved using a "save" command. However it is required that we need to
call the 'R' program from
Java web application using RJava, and pass a string

DDNS, DHCP and AD
Looking for general theory here - perhaps this will devolve into more "how
to" later, but right now I need overall understanding.
We handle DHCP outside AD. We also do DDNS there, and handle DNS lookups.
Here's what the current setup looks like
We have a pair of DHCP servers (ISC DHCPD) and those same boxes handle DNS
for the network. They're in the DNS domain of, lets say;

Print properties are not saved
Hi,
I'm struggling to get a laser color printer working correctly. At first I
wasn't able to save print properties with Ubuntu 10.04. As I read of a bug
[1] that affected samba 3.4 up to 3.5.8 I upgraded to ubuntu 12.04 and samba
3.6.3. Now I'm not even able to upload drivers in the way I always did as
described in [2] and [3] (Italian).

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Hello everybody,
This topic was already published in the icecast development list but it did
not interest many people there because it is related to Macromedia Flash and
apparently all the development team is running Linux PPC (the flash plugin
is not available for Linux PPC). For this reason, I was advised to transfer
this topic to this regular icecast list.
Sorry for those who subscribed to both

Fw: Users being deleted from Domain Users group on Samba BDC during vampire process of migration
There is a line in my message that was incorrect. It should state the
following:
The users with "(primary)" attached to their name are being deleted. As
you can see, the Domain Admins group no longer includes joeblow, snoopy or
vbe.
My Enviornment:
NT 4.0 PDC
Debian (Sarge)

Samba 2.2.8 under OpenBSD 3.3
Hi, I'm dropping a little question.
I've set up a samba server and homes and public shares.
Everything works almost fine.
The only thing that bothers me is about files and directory masks.
In ssh session, I got files with 0700(-rwx------) mask and dirs with
0755(drwxr-xr-x) mask.
As I see, there are many mask options in smb.conf so I'm not really sure
wich would best fit with my needs

Getting at the LPC coefficients
Bonjour,
D?apr?s votre question ? Jean_Marc :

une _spx_autocorr (), qui est en lpc.c et est appel? ? proximit? du d?part

L'encodeur semble appeler la autocorr () la fonction, puis appelle wld ()

anova repeated measure interpretation
Dear all,
I have tried to use R for the repeated measures
experiment design in a phonetic study, and in the
resulting forms I met some problems which perturb the
final interpretation of the results.
I will explain the experiment design first:
the same 7 subjects were answering a question about 25
linguistic stimuli; the stimuli were the same
utterances which were processed in 3 different
ways (3

I'm looking for a tutorial or notes on the use of contrasts factor in

I've found some mails and infos about in various documents about R,
but I've probably missed
a good review on this subject.

DirectShow filter for Speex
Hi,
I've had many requests in the past for a Speex DirectShow filter. Well,
the wait is now over, thanks to Jean-Francois Emond. Both source and
binaries are available from the "Other software" page
(http://www.speex.org/projects.html). Bear in mind that for now, only a
subset of Speex features are supported (8 kHz, 15 kbps).

correlation predictors problem
R colleagues,
I want
to get the correlation between the coefficients of a regression.
Everything seems OK, but when there are more than 3 regressors, the
correlation matrix is completely wrong, as follows:

> summary(x.glm,correlation=T)
Call:
glm(formula = bascule ~ durP + durI + durC + moyHzPB +
