Multiple Model Validation
Hey All !
I have a form which contains two models. I would like both models to be
validated, but have their validations aggregated on the page.
If I do:
<%= error_messages_for(:model1) %>
<%= error_messages_for(:model2) %>
It puts two big validation blocks on the page. I would like all the errors
from both models, but only in one validation box.
Is this possible ? All my attempts

Form validation - keepin correct fields displayed on refresh
All,
I''m finally doing my first real form in Rails - the model object that
I''m entering information for has 8 validations so far.
If I type in good values for all the fields but one, I get the pretty
validation, and the nice field highlighting, but all of the fields are
cleared, forcing me to retype all of that info. That is a big drag.
Is there a standard way to get the

rails 3.0.9 usability problem
If there is an error with the submitted password on a form, then both
the password and password confirmation text fields should be highlighted
in red. The default seems to be to highlight only the password field.
Any suggestions on how to correct that? Because rails magically handles
the highlighting, I''m not sure how to intercept that.

formhelper password_field only takes two arguments
When I look at the docs, password_field seems to take 3 arguments.
So when I ''play around" with things and I attempt to pass three
arguments to password_field ... I get an error saying that it only takes
two parameters ("3 for 2")
I am totally lost.

where''d we come from?
I''m curious -- how many of us came to Rails from other branches of the OO
world -- Java, C# -- and how many of us came from the design or non-OO
scripting worlds?
Reason I ask is that I''m finding Rails a blast and very productive, but I
think one reason is that I already cut my teeth on MVC and ORM during two
years of writing apps with J2EE/Struts/Hibernate. And in Javaland, it

Plain text passwords displayed in production.log
By default, all the paramaters are displayed in the production.log on a POST.
Unfortunately, this includes all the plain-text passwords that people type
into the login form on my application, which is a huge security risk. I''m
using a custom evaluation system that hooks into LDAP (not any of the
generators/plugins).
View code is simple:
