Help ordinal mixed model!
Good afternoon, gentlemen! After several days studying and researching on categorical data (various forums with answers from the owner of the library - all incipient) how to interpret the output the function MCMCglmm, come to enlist the help of you, if someone has already worked with MCMCglmm function in the case of variables ordinal dependent. I've read and reread all the pdf's of the

Concatenate a Variable
Good morning! I do not speak English very well and so I will try to explain the best I can. I have this: > tabela[,1] [1] a a b b a c b a c c c c c Levels: a b c >unique(tabela[,1]) [1] a b c Levels: a b c >var<-unique(tabela[,1])[1] > var [1] a Levels: a b c But if I concatenate like this > cat("VAR: ", var, "\n") I obtain >VAR: 1 and I

odfWeave UTF-8 error and latin characters
Hello R masters, I have sent this same message to other lists and none so far could give some light. I was trying to use odfWeave to generate a report from R and Im getting an error that I think is related to latin characters. I looked around and did find some stuff related to this problem about Sweave http://labmoluscos.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/sweave-latex-character-encoding/ but did not find a

Speex Decoding Issue
Dear Speex community, I am having problems to get the Speex Decoding API to work properly in our project. I am working in an embedded project with a very limited RAM and Flash memory and would like to use Speex encoded files to save memory while having good voice sounds in our speakers. I have developed a Windows-based tool to convert WAV files to Speex files in packets of 160 bytes (we are

Controlling the number of interactions of a lme
Hello everybody, i'm trying to run a lme but am having a problem. My model have many response variables and when i run the anova, the number of interactions (up to six) is great and the p-values of all variables not appear. I wanted to know if i could to control the number of interactions of the model, or if this method is the most advisable for so many variables. Thanks in advance!

accuracy of chi-square distribution approximations
Hi there, How accurate is the aproximation R makes to the Chi-Square distribution? For example, if I run: > qchisq(1/1000000,6) [1] 0.03650857 how accurate is 0.0365 compared to the theoretical percentile? What kind of approximations have been made in the software's algorithm? It woudl be useful to know since I am working with tiny percentiles such as one one-millionth and one

One rather theoretical question about fitting algorithm
Hi, What I'm trying to achieve is very fast algorithm for fitting logistic regression model. I have to estimate regression coeficients using about 10k observations. Once I have coefficients estimated, new 100 rows of data becomes available.... Now I need to reestimate coeficients using 100 newly arrived observations and removing 100 oldest observations. So, my question is would it be

Problem with routing to multiple tables
Hello all, I am having some difficults to make a routing rule work. I want that every P2P packages go to one interface (eth2 - cheaper link) nad the rest of the traffic go to another interface (eth0 - frame relay very expensive). I am using this script to make the mark and balance: ------- #!/bin/bash IPT="/usr/local/sbin/iptables" IP="/sbin/ip" #---- # Declara redes #----

wilcox.test p-value = 0
hi, folks, how have you gone about reporting a p-value from a test when the returned value from a test (in this case a rank-sum test) is numerically equal to 0 according to the machine? the next lowest value greater than zero that is distinct from zero on the machine is likely algorithm-dependent (the algorithm of the test itself), but without knowing the explicit steps of the algorithm
