saving output
I have a question about how to save the output of a logistic regression
model in some format (delimited, preferably) so that I can manipulate it
to make nice tables in excel. I have tried print, save, write, none seem
to do what I want them to. Does anyone have any ideas?

Bug on PAM_Winbind ?
Hello guys,
I am using PAM (0.82) to authenticate (samba) workgroup users and it works
fine (pam_smbpass). But after joining a domain and start using pam_winbind
too, pwauth (2.3.10) get a segmentation fault when trying to authenticate
any workgroup or domain user. What happens is that it does authenticate the
user successfully, but when it calls pam_end() to release its resources, it
crashes.

undefined class results in error instead of warning in 2.7.3
My ENC has always added some extra classes not defined in puppet (things
that I might end up using later based on the host name, department, or other
attributes associated with the host in my database). In 0.25.5 the undefined
class was reported at (info), in 2.6.9 it was reported as (warning), but in
2.7.3 it''s an (err) ? This now causes my catalog to stop processing. Why the

Best way of merging mbox files
When concatenating mbox files like described here
https://xaizek.github.io/2013-03-30/merge-mbox-mailboxes/. You will end
up with an 'unsorted' mbox file. Is this going to be a problem
esspecially when they are large >2GB's and new emails will be written to
it?
The email client nicely sorts the message from folder A "foldera 5 last"
as last, but of course the mbox is

Limits on smbclient -M?
Greetings-
We use smbclient -M to send a Message of the Day to clients every once in
a while. The clients are NT4 (SP3), and the server is Samba
1.9.19-prealpha. However, the same problem appears with version 2.0.0.
The issue is: once the file to be sent exceeds approximately 675 bytes
(smbclient reports sending 975 bytes, presumably including some overhead),
the message turns up blank on the

Discovering patterns in textual strings
"Does that help?"
No. I am not your private consultant. You need to reply to the list, which
I have cc'ed here, not just me.
I am still somewhat confused by your specifications, but others may not be.
Part of my confusion stems from your failure to provide a reproducible
example (see e.g. the posting guide linked below). For example, I cannot
tell from your text whether the Abc

I'm almost very impressed with theora 1.1 beta 3
Firstly I have to say that having just tried out theora 1.1 beta 3 the
improvement over the previous 1.0 is amazing. In my very subjective view
it looks like the same quality for about half the bitrate and that's
amazingly impressive. The results have for the most part been excellent
and my congratulations to all concerned for there very hard work.
There is (for me) only one serious problem

Encrypted passwords really necessary for PDC ?
I've attached a perl script that I wrote to build smbpasswd from
/etc/passwd. Please note that this writes a samba-2.0 format smbpasswd
file.
This script will:
# - create accounts that exist in /etc/passwd and not in smbpasswd
# - remove accounts that exist in smbpasswd and not in /etc/passwd
# - preserve existing password, flags and LCT fields in smbpasswd
# - sets new account passwords to

autofs handling of nis maps - Centos4
I have the following nis map (auto.facvs)
* -vers=3 &:/disk1
Which allows hosts that have /disk1 exported to be mounted to
/facvs/$hostname
It works fine, but on Centos4, it allows me to
cd /facvs/foo (where foo isn't a real host out there)
I find it has mounted my local /disk1 as /facvs/foo. It seems to be
ignoring the key in the map pertaining to the host if it's not a valid

Rusty away 18th September -- 11th October
Hi all,
Probably won't read mail. Linus, I'll have pull requests early
next week; if there's anything needed I'm sure Michael Tsirkin can
handle it.
Cheers,
Rusty.
PS. England and Italy for a holiday; my daughter chose them (somehow I
forgot to inform her of the existence of Euro Disney...)

New URL redirect checks
I don't have an opinion on the URL shorteners, but how about the
original question? Redirection can be extremely useful in general.
Shortening URLs is only one of its possible applications. FWIW, CRAN
uses (303) redirect itself, e.g.,
https://cran.r-project.org/package=MASS is redirected to
https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/MASS/index.html Should these
"canonical" CRAN links be

Apple movie trailers on Centos6/Firefox
Hi all!
Once again, Apple has messed with their trailers/website such that I can
no longer play their trailers on Centos 6 (note that it still works
fine on my two Fedora machines, F17 and F19, without any special
settings.
on Centos, I've long ago found that by setting the user agent to certain
values I could make it work, but now that no longer helps. when I try
to view a trailer all I get

How similar should my rpm build machine be to my target
