Omnibus test for main effects in the face of an interaction containing the main effects.
R 2.9.1 Windows XP I am fitting a random effects ANOVA with two factors Group which has two levels and Time which has three levels: fita<-lme(Post~Time+factor(Group)+factor(Group)*Time, random=~1|SS,data=blah$alldata) I want to get the omnibus significance tests for each factor and the interaction. I believe I can get the omnibus test for the interaction by running the model:

Omnibus test for main effects in the face ofaninteraction containing the main effects.
Daniel, When Group is entered as a factor, and the factor has two levels, the ANOVA table gives a p value for each level of the factor. What I am looking for is the omnibus p value for the factor, i.e. the test that the factor (with all its levels) improves the prediction of the outcome. You are correct that normally one could rely on the fact that the model

[LLVMdev] Prevent clang from replacing code with library calls
Clang optimizes code by replacing some parts with efficient library functions. For example the following code: for (i=0;i<size;++i) dest[i]=src[i]; will be compiled to (target=ARM assembly): bl __aeabi_memcpy(PLT) The compile cmd: /usr/share/android-arm-l14-toolchain/bin/clang31 -cc1 -triple arm-none-linux-androideabi -S -target-abi aapcs-linux -target-cpu arm1022e

[PATCH v2 0/6] v2v: Pass CPU vendor, model and topology from source to target.
v1 -> v2: - Support for passing topology through -o glance. - Support for passing topology through -o rhv. - Use bool for acpi/apic/pae struct fields in virt-p2v. - Write the xpath expression in error messages instead of file/line. - Fix more memory leaks in virt-p2v cpuid.c. - Passes make check & check-valgrind. There may be some other minor changes. I believe that everything

Help w/ termplot & predict.coxph/ns
I am fitting a cox PH model w/ 2 predictors, x1 = 0/1 treatment variable and x2=continuous variable. I am using natural splines (ns) to model the effect of x2. I would like to examine the estimated effect of x2 on the hazard. I have tried various approaches (below; let model.fit= fitted model using coxph in survival library): 1. The simplest method appears to be using termplot(model.fit).

parameterization of glm nested design
Dear R community, I am new to R, a reforming SAS user :) I am running R 2.10.1 on a Windows XP machine. I would like to write linear functions of my coefficient parameter estimates from a glm, but am having a difficult time understanding the parameterization R uses. In the toy example below I am running a glm on binomial data, with clones and lines within clones as fixed effects, each with 6

[PATCH 0/4] Pass CPU vendor, model and topology from source to target.
This is tangentially related to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1372668 The problem in that bug is that we didn't pass the source CPU model (Sandybridge in that case) through to the target RHV hypervisor. So when the Windows guest booted on the target it gives an error about CPU hardware being disconnected (although it otherwise boots and works fine). This patch series
