Lines connecting the boxes in a boxplot
Hello,
I'm currently using a boxplot to visualize data for three different
models. As I have three models, I'm plotting three parallel boxplots
for each factor.
This works fine - what I need now is a line connecting the medians of
each boxplot of each model. I want to do this in order to visualize
the trend that one of the models exhibit. Basically, I want to plot a
curve for each model

How to treat UPS status of TRIM as on line
I am using NUT 2.6.5 as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I am using an APC Smart-UPS
5000 RM DL4 with a AP9619 network management card. NUT properly detects
when the UPS goes on battery and initiates a shutdown after the configured
time. The problem I have is that I am using a 208V unit on a 240V circuit.
That means the normal state for the UPS is "TRIM". NUT doesn't treat that
as an on line

cannot update battery.date value of APC ups battery
Hi,
I'm running this command:
# upsrw -s "battery.date=2013Jun7" -u ups-mon-IT "IT-APC-BOTTOMRIGHT at 127.0.0.1"

but I'm getting this listing:

unacceptable utility voltage rate of change
Hi,
One of my APC devices reports: "unacceptable utility voltage rate of change".
I believe it has something to do with input voltage fluctuating too fast maybe even beneath or over the input voltage thresholds.
Should I worry about this?
should I measure input voltage? (I suppose I'd need more than multimeter readings. Maybe an oscilloscope or a multimeter that can record

Wait for network delay

Hmm, at first glance, I read the "complain endlessly" part as a figure of speech, and figured SNMP would get there eventually since it's UDP. But if you have to stop and restart NUT, that is a different story.

Wait for network delay
I am running NUT as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I have looked through the
manuals, but I don't see how to address my issue. The box has 4 NIC's in
a LACP LAGG group. It takes a while for LACP to finish, and NUT tries to
start before packets are flowing. NUT will complain endlessly about
communication errors and never establish SNMP communication with my APC
UPS. If I stop NUT and restart

Bug in PDF device when using transparent graphics
Hello,
I think I found a bug when creating graphics on a PDF device using
transparency. I'm using ggplots2 like this:
comp <- ggplot(data, aes(x=Problemsize, y=Fitness)) +
geom_smooth(fill=alpha("blue", 0.2), aes(colour=factor(Clustersize)), size=2)
Which gives me a curve for each "Clustersize" with a transparent blue
"cloud" around it, indication

false low battery alarm
Hi,
I have two types of UPS devices and one of them (APC) gave me a false "low battery" alert. I can't reproduce the problem... Also, there was nothing apparently wrong with the UPS at the time of the false alert. All I could do was grab the driver values within a minute after the "low battery" notification.
These are the values:
battery.runtime.low : 120

question of VECM restricted regression
Dear Colleague
I am trying to figure out how to use R to do OLS restricted VECM regression. However, there are some notation I cannot understand.
Please tell me what is 'ect', 'sd' and 'LRM.dl1 in the following practice:
#OLS retricted VECM regression
data(denmark)
sjd <- denmark[, c("LRM", "LRY", "IBO", "IDE")]
sjd.vecm<-

[monorepo] Much improved downstream zipping tool available
He all,
I've updated the downstream fork zipping tool that I posted about last
November [1]. It is much improved in every way. The most important
enhancements are:
- Does a better job of simplifying history
- Handles nested submodules
- Will put non-submodule-update content in a subdirectory of the
monorepo
- Updates tags
In addition there are plenty of the requisite bug fixes. The

I estimate vector error correction model (vecm) model. I have only one cointegratio relationship. I write :

mgcv 'bam' : prediction levels for random effects
Hi R users,
I'm using the 'bam' function in mgcv to examine trends in a remotely sensed
vegetation index. I have one random effect variable, 'cons' (with six
levels) which identifies different subjects within this analysis.
My model is specified as follows:

fitting a model with the nlme package
Dear all,
I am analyzing some data that requires a mixed model. I have been
reading Pinheiro and Bates' book,
but cannot find the notation to fit the following model:
Suppose I have the dataset below. Here I am fitting variable p as a
fixed effect, variable h
as a random effect and variable t as nested within h. I would like to
include the variable j as well
as an independent (non-nested)
