Setting up Profiles share... 777?!
In a fresh samba AD domain i'm setting up the 'Profiles' share for roaming
profiles, following the wiki:

Contrasts in mixed effects model: difference between differences
Hello everyone,
I am testing a model in which I have a two-level factor (let's call it
First [1, 2]) nested under a four-level factor (let's call it Second [A, B,
C, D]). I have used the following model to get coefficients representing
whether, for each level of Second, there is a significant difference (in
the outcome variable, Latency) between the levels of First:

Unexpected behaviour in reading genomic coordinate files of R-2.7.0
Great R people,
I have noticed a strange behaviour in read.delim() and friends in the R
2.7.0 version. I will describe you the problem and also the solution I
already found, just to be sure it is an expected behaviour and also to
tell people, who may experience the same difficulty, a way to overcome it.
And also to see if it is a proper behaviour or maybe a correction is needed.
Here is the

linear contrasts with anova
I have some doubts about the validity of my procedure to estimeate linear contrasts ina a factorial design.
For sake of semplicity, let's imagine a one way ANOVA with three levels. I am interested to test the significance of the difference between the first and third level (called here contrast C1) and between the first and the seconda level (called here contrast C2). I used the following

Combine vectors in order to form matrixes with combn
Hello!
I've a problem with the combn function and a set of vector. I
would like to make a simple combination where, instead of scalars, i
would like to combine vector, in order to form matrixes.
In other
words, i have nineteen 6-items vectors (for example coef1-coef19), that
i would like to combine in n!/k!(n-k)! 6x6 matrixes.
I tried with a
code like this

Inconsistency with matrix indexing (PR#8214)

Submission from: (NULL) (194.127.2.74)
Dear all,
in the new R 2.2.0, the matrix indexing has been changed. In my opinion, this
leads to an inconsistency when indexing one-row matrices.
Take

R2 in multilevel modelling
Goodmorning everybody,
i'm an italian statistician and i'm using R for research.
Could someone tell me some indices to see the goodness of fit in multilevel
modelling?
I'm using the lmer function, and I want to know if my model fit well my
data.
I actually want to justify the use of multilevel model instead the classical
one.
Hope someone can help me.
Thank you.

When importing data from SPSS, it is a nice feature of the package foreign that
it allows (option use.value.labels=F) to work with the original SPSS codes while
keeping the value labels as information in an attribute. Unfortunately, after
merging or subsetting, these attributes disappear.

[PATCH] Support for ASEM UPS on Linux/i2c
As said in previous mail, I just finished a first working version of a driver
for the UPS found on ASEM PB1300 device
(http://www.asem.it/prodotti/industrial-automation/box-pcs/performance/pb1300/)
Linux only, accessed through i2c/SMBUS.
If you can spare some time, please review. Expecially my autotools skills are
ehm... a bit rusty.

New driver for ASEM UPS
Hi all
I'm developing a NUT driver for a custom UPS found on ASEM PB 1300 devices
(http://www.asem.it/prodotti/industrial-automation/box-pcs/performance/pb1300/)
It's based on some custom charger and a bq2060 battery monitor, talk to it on
i2c bus.
I will have something usable in a few days. Got some questions/considerations,
though:

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Detect Haswell subarchitecture (i.e. using -march=native)
I agree with Tim, you need to implement a GetCpuIDAndInfoEx function in
Host.cpp and pass the correct value to ecx. Also you need to verify that 7
is a valid leaf because an invalid leaf is defined to return the highest
supported leaf on that processor. So if a processor supports say leaf 6 and
not leaf 7, then an access leaf 7 will return the data from leaf 6 causing
unrelated bits to be

Feature Request: GotoIfTimeWithOffset
Hi,
When I was testing an IVR, I realized I miss a function I would call
GotoIfTimeWithOffset.
Today, this IVR is using function AEL GotoIfTime in several places.
The problem is if it's 11pm at the moment I'm testing this IVR, I can't
nicely test the 9am or 2pm branch.
GotoIfTimeWithOffset would get 2 incoming arguments :
- the first is a time range (just like GotoIfTime),
- the

Have you tried upgrading OpenSSL yet? Which version of OpenSSL do you
run?
Is there a ticket for this open already?:
