to combine bwplot + srt option?
Hi R-users,
Could someone help me to combine bwplot and srt option (exemple srt = 45
degree or srt 90 degree)? My graphic contains 146 boxplots, I would like
to label all of them. As you know, labels are not readable.
Thank you for your help in advance!

loop for plot function
Hello all R users,
I would like to add another loop to my following R code ( it works for the
moment correctly) , which will be able to me to vary n (see the code) from
1 to 4 or 5.
And I also would like apply the plot function in this case, eg all four or
five figures in the same graphic (n= 1, 2, ..., 4 ou 5)
I have tested one, but unsuccessfully.
I need you to solve this problems
Thank you

DOE and interaction plot general question
This is a general question about Design of experiments. If i am not allowed
to post general questions like this here please accept my apologies and
ignore the question.
I did a DOE with six factors in eight runs. I know i cannot check for
interactions using this design, but i tried the interaction plot and it
showed me many interactions. After this I foldover the design and ran the 8
runs to learn

Query: What is 'Trellis'?
I'm an R-beginner and have found the function 'panel.mathdensity' in the full manual. R can't find the function and under 'Description' in the manual it says that they "are available in Trellis". What is it and where can I find the function?

Lattice histogram with vertical lines
I would like to add some vertical lines to a lattice plot of histograms.
What I am after is a lattice version of abline(v = 1234). The lattice
histogram plot is just:
histogram( ~ LTSE | approach, data = arrivals)
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this?

I've been scrathing my head over this one. Suppose I have a data.frame

An artificial example is generated by

x2=c("C", rep("D",9)), y=rnorm(10))

I would like to plot several histograms superimposed on the same panel

the lattice package.

how to create normalized pdf plot?
Hello,
I have multiple data files. Each file contains a single column and 1.5
million rows. I want to create normalized pdfs (area under curve is 1) and
histograms to compare with one another. Could anybody suggest if there
exists an easy way or built in function in R.
At present I am using Origin and Excel together to do this. A single file
needs 10 minutes and I have a total of 929 files! So

Troubleshooting with "gpd" (Fit generalized pareto model)
Up to now, I have recognized problems with "gpd(..)", the function from
the package "evir"
I think that all these functions that estimate the parameters xi, beta for
the GPD
by given threshold mu use the function "optim(..)" ( gpd, fitgpd, ...)
"Error" example:
data1 <- rgpd(1000, xi= -1.5, mu=1000, beta=100)
so the created poinnts take place in about

overlay lattice histograms with goodness-of-fit pdfs
