multiple connection (be careful with carrier-grade NAT)
As I have written before, I’ve seen that if broken html5 <audio> players were used but then amount of connections was gradually increasing. m. Looking for business-grade SIP Softphone
Hi, I am looking for a good (not necessarily free) business-grade SIP Softphone that supports: 1) G729 2) Outlook contact integration (click on number to dial) 3) Remote provisioning (not a must, but a very nice to have) 4) Customizable skin (again, not a must but a nice to have) I've seen X-Lite (which has only 2 lines, not enough). The commercial version of X-Lite looks nice, but

The side effect of <audio> is also a bandwidth usage? linear to the amount of "fake" listeners? Looking for a terminations provider (carrier grade)
We've been using RNK Telecom for terminations for our SIP service, but their billing is questionable, they've been in breach of contract multiple times, and when I brought it to their attention, Russ Man, our 'friendly' account manager told me, and I quote "If you are having that much of a problem..please find another carrier." With customer service like that, I've

Professional grade rsync?
Hi, folks. We've gone where no man has gone before. On HP-UX, rsync bombs at about 1.75 million directories, files and links (combined sum) in a single transfer. Is there a professional-grade alternative on HP-UX for folks willing to pay for it? It wouldn't even need to be network-aware, just from single-system areas to the same box, but with the nifty delete and update features that

Survey Package with Binary Data (no Standard Errors reported)
Hi, I'm trying to get standard errors for some of the variables in my data frame. One of the questions on my survey is whether faculty coordinate across curriculum to include Arts Education as subject matter. All the responses are coded in zeros and ones obviously. For some of the other variables I have a 2 for those that responded with "Don't Know". I'm getting NA for

nlme questions (e.g., specifying group membership, changing options)
I'm trying to better understand the nlme package and have a few questions. 1.) Other than using various coding strategies (e.g., dummy coding, effect coding), is there a way to identify group membership (i.e., treatment) directly? For example, the following code will fit a two group logistic growth curve (where 'Score' is repeatedly measured over 'Time' for each of the

ODG (Objective Difference Grade) scores for Opus Encoder using PQEvalAudio Tool
Hi Rhishi, PQevalaudio is very unreliable and buggy. I have compared to PEAQ and - as a result - now I am not using it anymore. winbind group membership
Hi. FreeBSD 8.2 Samba 3.5.11 from ports I have an issue with group membership. id shows only small part of the groups a user is member of. I'm aware about UNIX max group issue, but this isn't related to it - for example for a user which is member of the 6 griups id shows only 3. Although wbinfo -r shows correct number of groups and wbinfo -G is able to successfully translate UNIX

Package for multiple membership model?
Hello all: I am interested in computing what the multilevel modeling literature calls a multiple membership model. More specifically, I am working with a data set involving clients and providers. The clients are the lower-level units who are nested within providers (higher-level). However, this is not nesting in the usual sense, as clients can belong to multple providers, which I understand

Browsercam.com Annual Membership
I have been using browsercam.com for CSS testing, but it is rather expensive. Recently, I discovered others using funadable.org to purchase a yearly membership as a group. A year long membership at browsercam.com costs $480.00. This gives us 25 user accounts. I am proposing that 25 people throw in $19.20 for their 1/25th share of the membership cost. Once I have raised $479.40 I will

OT: 14 slots available in a browsercam membership
hi all, A year ago I did a fundable project for a browsercam annual membership, that has renewed but not everyone who originally joined has paid me for the renewal, so I have 14 user slots available. If you would like a full-access "unlimited" membership to browsercam (with VNC which is really useful), contact me off list and I''ll give you instructions - it basically
