graphics - joining repeated measures with a line
I would like to join repeated measures for patients across two visits using a line. The program below uses symbols to represent each patient. bargraph.CI change se for sd
Hi there, I am a beginner. I would like to change the error bars in the bargraph.CI function from the default (se) to (sd). The help file says ci.fun= function(x) c(fun(x)-se(x), fun(x)+se(x)) Is there a simple way of telling the function what (x) precisely is - I already define in in the of the bargraph.CI function and assume that is should be able to use that information. cheers, Herwig --

bargraph.ci - CI and color question.
Hello, When using bargraph.CI in package sciplot can the bars for each group be different colors? How do I select the color for each group? When I use this instead of the default (SD vs SE): bargraph.CI(x.factor = dose, response = len, data = ToothGrowth, ci.fun= function(x) c(mean(x)-sd(x), mean(x) + sd(x)) ) Am I getting 95% CI bars? x axis on sciplot
Is it possible to format the x axis, so that days are spaced proportionately? i.e. a larger space between 50 & 100, than 0 and 5? Have not had any luck with axis.POSIXct(). density plot text
Is there any way of adding text to a density plot? I have had a go using the text() function but I think the error is because this function doesn't work with densityplot(). Alternatively, I understand I can achieve pretty much the same result if I plot a density kernel estimate using plot() (which allows text()), but I do prefer densityplot(). maths characters in labels & ylab padding
I have checked out the help files, but cannot find details on how to use maths characters in ylab. Instead of m^2, I would like the 2 in superscript, if possible. I need an object created in a user defined function to be accessible to another user defined function. I am fairly certain the object is correctly created as it prints when I use the return() function, however the 2nd function seems unable to use it. Hi, I would like to have lineplot.CI and barplot.CI to actually plot confidence intervals , instead of standard error. I understand I have to use the ci.fun option, but I'm not quite sure how. Changing x-axis on boxplot
Dear List, ? I am creating a boxplot with two subsets, very similar to the example by Roger Bivand at ?boxplot (reproduced below).? I am trying to change the labels on the x-axis to have one number to cover both subsets.? I can do this in other plots by using axis=FALSE followed by a separate axis() command.? lineplot.CI problem
Hi List, I have a problem plotting data using the lineplot.CI command in the sciplot package. I want to plot the data of 2 experimental cases using different lines (traces). Time is on the X-axis. The tricky thing is that the data collection in the second case started later than for the first case. This is to say: the first n data points for the second case are missing. So far so good.
