XP/W2K on Samba 3
Hello,
maybe it is not the right place to ask Windows-related questions, but i'll give it a try.
I am running a Debian-Etch-Server with Samba 3 and Windows2000 and XP-clients.
Everything is working fine except:
For every user logging in from a Win-client, the client generates a local user-profile and local user-directories.
What has to be done within Samba and what has to be done on the

Bug#392109: bug in xen-utils
Package: xen-utils-3.0.2-1
Version: 3.0.2-3+hg9762-1
Hi,
while trying to get xen work, I encountered two problems:
1. I don't know if its really an error, but I think something is messed up with the subdir-name /usr/lib/xen-3.0.2-1 because the version-number of the package suggests that it is an other version, than the subdir says. Every time when I call xm for example I get:
WARING!

[LLVMdev] Problems with the tools
I just built LLVM 2.0 on Windows with Visual C++ 2005. After a few tweaks, it produced several nice .exe files.
I tried to compile a simple Hello-World program as given in the documentation:

Compile dovecot 1.2.5 with managesieve patch 0.11.9?
Hi,
is it possible to compile dovecot 1.2.5 with the managesieve patch
0.11.9 which is for dovecot 1.2.4 or is it better to wait if a new
managesieve patch is released? Maybe 1.2.5 will work too?
Thanks,
Seba

fitting an interaction term
Hello!
I?m fitting a model with glm(family binomial). The best model counts 9 Variables and includes an interaction term that was generated by the product of to continuous variables (a*b). All variables are correlated under a value of 0.7 (Spearman rank order) While the estimates of both main effects are negativ, the resulting interaction term is positiv. This change of sign makes it difficult to

tinc rel 1.0.1 gets aborted in OPENSSL call
Hallo,
I?m using tincd now since the old days of 1.0pre4 and ist pretty good
software.
Ths week I went to upgrade from 1.0pre7 to 1.0.1 and failed. The tincd
process gets aborted inside the libcrypto library with OPENSSL_assert
(inl >0).
Tracking down that problem I found, that the EVP_DecryptUpdate gets
called in meta.c with the last argument containing a negativ value
(lenin is -204).

Oddcast utilizing v1.0.1 ?
Will there be a new version of Oddcast using the 1.0.1 Vorbis encoder? If
so, any idea when it'd be released?
Thanks

Vuong test
Hi,
I have two questions. First, I'd like to compare a ZINB model to a negativ
binomial model with the Vuong test, but I can't find how to performe it from
the zicount package. Does a programm exist to do it ?
Second, I'd like to know in which cases we have to use a double hurdle model
instead of a zero inflated model.
Many thanks,

[PATCH] gfxboot.c32
Ok, here is the first try to turn the gfxboot wrapper into a com32 module. I
had to extend the interface to the gfxboot core a bit to get it working. So
it works only with latest gfxboot from
git://gitorious.org/gfxboot/gfxboot.git

The plot and its legend is displayed ok. The I apply a dev.cop2eps on it to save the

Is it correct -
if the "Ratio of effect sd" is positiv than the Numerator effects are
bigger , and the negative case vice-versa ?

On an eight cpu system domU ''cap'' can only be set to 100
On a 8 Core system only dom0 can set cap > 100 and vcpus > 1. On a domU
''xm sched-credit -d <domU> -c 200''
says "Error: cap is out of range". Vcpu cannot be set higher than 1 -
regardless of boot/config/command line. Low performance is equivalent to the
cap setting.

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of
your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition
live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out.
The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am
quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate
