Hi List,
Can anyone tell me how could i put the "BACK" button in the following code, just under the "AAA" menu? I want this button to go back to the previous page, and since it has nothing to do with the "1" and "2" buttons, i want it somehow separated from these two buttons, but i don't know how. tcltk freezing using MS Windows for R-2.14+
I am the maintainer of a Bioconductor package (affylmGUI) which uses
tcltk. It freezes inconsistently on MS Windows, but not Mac or Unix. see
details below.
After considerable testing I have reduced the problem from a few
thousand lines of code to 30 lines!
If you paste the following lines of code into an R window:

How to disable existing menus in tcltk?
Hi!
I've constructed a small menu-driven interface to a couple of R functions
using the possibilities offered by the tcltk package. When user runs some
specific analyses, I would then like to disable some of the menus (or menu
choises) that are not applicable after the performed analysis. I tried to
modify the state of an existing menu, but it seems that neither

possible tcltk event loop problem
Dear list members,
Rich Heiberger reported to me last week that the Messages window in the
Rcmdr GUI was freezing -- that is, messages posted to this window didn't
appear -- under Windows and R 2.8.0. I was able to confirm this problem on
three Windows systems, one using Vista and the other two XP. In each case, I
used R 2.8.0 and Rcmdr 1.4-4 (the current version). The problem doesn't

listio <- tklistbox( tktoplevel(), font='Courier', height=20, width=20, setgrid=TRUE)
tkinsert( listio, 'end', letters[1:3])
tkpack( listio,side='left', expand=TRUE, fill='both')
and three items would be added to 'listio'. This doesn't work in R-devel-- it

summary of rpart-Object in tktext window?
Hi,
is it possible to put a summary of an rpart-Object into a tktext-window?
Here is what I'm trying to do:
fit <- rpart(Kyphosis ~ Age + Number + Start, data=kyphosis)

tex <- tktext(tt)
tkpack(tex)
tkinsert(tex, "end", summary(fit))
But since the summary of an object is a list, I always get back the
