liquid positioning of draggabels
Hi, is there a way to keep the positioning of draggables "liquid" after dragging them. See this link for an example: http://www.suss.com/dragtest/index.htm If you just open the page and increase/decrease the size (e.g. STRG+ mouse wheeling) both boxes keep their relative position. But as soon as you drag the red box, it''s position is fixed and only the size of the box changes

autocomplete update element positioning in Opera
I''m trying the auto-complete on Opera 8.5. I know it is not officially supported but it mostly works. Just one little problem: Opera seems to have some issue with .scrollTop on a input control. I expect it to report 0 but it report its current coordinate. So the update window goes to a wrong location. This is a block of code in Position.page page: function(forElement) { ...

positioning a light source within a rgl-plot
Hello useRs, I would like to draw a 3D-surface using rgl with a point-like light-source within the scene, that is with finite distance of the light-source to the surface to be lit. >From the help to the 'light3d' command I read: "They [the light-sources] are positioned either in world space or relative to the camera using polar coordinates." which *could* be understood as

ggplot2: positioning legend on top of plot
Hi, With ggplot2 v0.8, how do I position a legend on top of the plot. Things like p + opts(legend.position="top") work ok. But p + opts(legend.position=c(0.5,0.5)) gives Error in as.character(x) : cannot coerce type 'closure' to vector of type 'character' so obviously I should be giving a string instead but I can't figure out what it should be. Thanks,

Window positioning is messy
When a window or a dialog of an application opens, it is automatically positioned somewhere on the screen (for example somewhere in the center). In current Wine and Ubuntu Oneiric (I can't tell for other distributions), child windows of automatically positioned windows appear offset, often at [0,0] in the top left corner of the screen. This is not too much annoying for tool windows, but it is

trellis: positioning of key
Dear R users, Using xyplot(), how can I position the key in the *margin* outside the plotting area ? My problem is that the key always overlaps with the x axis labels, no matter how I try to specify any of the par() arguments (e.g. oma()). Many thanks for any suggestions! Christoph ### for information, here??s the code I use par(oma=c(0,0,3,0)) ###this, I think, is what should be changed

Positioning of axis titles
Hi, I have created a plot using filled.contour() and have the problem that one of the axis titles and an axis label are overlapping. I have tried changing par()$mgp (with, e.g. par(mgp=c(4,1,0)) ), but this just makes the title go off the screen. I can't work out how to make the plot take up less space in the window, so I can hopefully change mgp and sort the problem. Is changing mgp the only

Positioning a legend via X and Y coordinates
Dear R Users, I'm able to display a legend using the following code: > legend("topright", c("Simulation", "Observation"), fill=2:3, bty="n") However, this causes the legend to be positioned too close to the bars in my barplot. I'd like to move the legend up slightly. I have been trying to determine the necessary values by trial and error to do

Positioning plots on top of each other (aligment & borders)
Hello, I want to place two plots on top of each other. However, the problem is that I can't figure out a simple way to align them correctly. Is there a way to specify this? Since the data is bunch of coordinates and the second layer is an outline of a map (a .ps file I import using the grImport package), I suppose one option would be to specify a set of "artificial" coordinates that

Strange issue with windows positioning
Hi, I just compiled and installed the latest compiz from git head and I have a strange issue with windows positioning: all newly created windows are placed at 0,0 (upper left corner) of the screen, so the title bar (and menu bar too) is under my gnome panel. I attach a screenshot to show the problem. I can't understand if this is a problem of compiz configuration (plugin order or something
