Increase memory size
I read FAQ (2.6 and 2.2) about increasing memory size, but it is not
clear to me. Coule anyone give me an example? My computation exceeds
256Mb.
Thank you for your time.

How to get the parameters of nls(...) for later use
Hi all,
I need to use the parameter estimates of nls() for further analysis. I
know how to do in S+, e.g. nls(...)$parameters. In R, the
attributes(nls(...)) does not have parameters, how would one get the
parameter values out of nls()?
Thanks in advance.

Link-dest thinks file is newly created, but it isn't
Hi:
I've been using rsync for a couple years now. Unfortunately, I've made some
changes on both ends, so it's unclear what could be the culprit. I make
extensive use of --link-dest to provide a cheap "Time Machine"-like backup
for a Windows machine.

What does --itemize-changes say about that file? Try using the stat
command on the various copies of it to see what is different about them.

question about se of predicted glm values
Hey, all. I had a quick question about fitting new glm values and
then looking at the error around them. I'm working with a glm using a
Gamma distribution and a log link with two types of treatments.
However, when I then look at the predicted values for each category, I
find for the one that is close to 0, the error (using se.fit=T with
predicted) actually makes it overlap 0.

You are welcome.
I changed the pattern, the same old error pop up again, crash in the same place.

I have Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse for my daughter and I tried to install using Wine.
Installation fails because some of the files have different names on the installation media from that sought by the installer.
Here are two examples:

OCFS2 1.2/1.6
We are in the process of migrating to new database servers. Our current
RAC clusters are running OCFS2 1.2.9 on RHEL 4. Our new servers are
running OCFS2 1.6 OEL5. If possible, we would like to minimize the
amount of data that needs to move as we migrate to the new servers. We
have the following questions:
1. Can we mount an existing OCFS2 1.2 volume on a servers running
OCFS2 1.6?

Fwd: --link-dest does not appear to be linking on Cygwin
Hi:
I have attempted to following some instructions to use --link-dest in
order to preserve space for multiple backups. I'm using rsync on
Cygwin with a NAS (ext4) which does support hard-links on the
filesystem. I've written a short program that does attempt to create a
hard-link on this NAS from Cygwin and it does look to be working. If I
run ls -li on the NAS the inodes are the same.

A question on memory size
Hi,
I am using a note book computer to do simulation. Even I added a commend
line in the shortcut on my desktop for R. I still get a message saying
reached total memory allocation of 502 Mb. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Link-dest thinks file is newly created, but it isn't
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

If it seeing the files as new then I agree that stat won't help. It
might have explained some other itemize output. Since it is seeing
the files as new then they must not be where it is looking. Meaning
that your link-dest parameter must not be appropriate for your target.
