pb with 4D dicom data and oro.dicom
Hello, I have the following problem. After a PACS upgrade in our hospital, the dynamic 3D images acquired after contrast media injection with a 3T Philips MRI are all saved in a single 4D file instead of a series of 2D images containing multiple 3D images over time. I used to convert this series of 2D dicom images in the format nfti with oro.dicom. However, I am no longer able to make oro.dicom

New CRAN package: DICOM
The package DICOM is a first attempt at a set of routines to import and summarize medical imaging data that conforms to the DICOM standard. This is now the industry standard for a wide variety of medical imaging equipment (e.g., PET, MRI, CT, etc.). Please see http://medical.nema.org for more information about the DICOM standard. A simple list structure holds the separate header and image

Everyone, Have any of you had any luck getting aeskulap to work with Centos7. We have just migrated some desktops from Fedora 20 to Centos. but aeskulap is not in the centos 7 repos. aeskulap was a decent dicom viewer and was able to connect to our pacs server. If there are other viewers that any of you have used I would be interested in the dialog of what you have used and any difficulties

outcome of big rsync. Puzzling
Hi, I just completed a really big rsync described earlier. Ie about 13,945 directories transfered about 600GB of data. GE centricity viewer??
I picked up some data from the nearest hospital to take to the specialist at the next one, with whom I had an appt.; it came on a CD, which is marked "DICOM Volume with GE Centricity Viewer." When I put the CD into a drive, Fedora 11 auto-mounts it, and fails to find the autorun.exe, which is right there in plain sight. (F11 knows it exists, and asks whether to run it, and then

Question about contour3d and writeWebGL: rgl and misc3d package
I saw that in rgl:::writeWebGL that "Polygons will only be rendered as filled; there is no support in WebGL for wireframe or point rendering.". I found that you can easily use contour3d to make reproducible contour web figures, such as (taken from contour3d help) library(AnalyzeFMRI) a <- f.read.analyze.volume(system.file("example.img", package=

tkfilefind in tcltk on Windows2000
Hi, The tkfilefind demo in the tcltk package doesn't seem to work for me in Windows2000. The demo script uses tkfilefind(".") which doesn't display the parent directory so you can't browse around the whole drive. Using tkfilefind() (which uses the default path getwd()) doesn't seem to work for me at all. I also tried tkfilefind("/") which worked fine but

Does the RPM for RH9 know about TCL/Tk
Sorry for the probable repeat post but I can only search the list up to 2002 (is there a better way?). I am using the RH9 RPM from CRAN but packages like AnalyzeFMRI say that tcltk is not found. Do I need to do more to get Tk GUIs working on RH9 or does the RPM not have tcltk support built in (should I compile from source). Thanks in advance. Take care. -Morgan

Is it possible to read jpeg files into R?
Hi Helpers, Does anyone know how to read jpeg, bmp or png files into R? I have some photos of brain scans and I want to quantify some aspects of their size. I might be able to do this with the 'locator' function, if I could figure out how to read the files in and make them into an image that I can display on the R Windows device. I have experimented with readBin, using a simple
