Transform plot3d grafics in to executable files
Hello, I did some nice grafics using plot 3d and scatter3d. Is there a, hopefully not too complicated way, to transform these dynamic, three-dimensional and interactive grafics in a kind of executable file? I want to show and send them via e-mail to projekt partners who don`t use GNU R and who are not used to do programming. So the result should be quite comfortable to execute for them in

Dear All,   I need to create eps file which is the required figure format  of the journal that I want to submit a paper. I am able to create files in pdf or wmf format but not in eps format. Is there a way to convert pdf or wmf to eps? or alternatively, how can I create an eps file in R?   Any help is deeply appreciated.   Kind Regards   Seyit Ali

subtract a time period from a date
Hello everybody, how can I reduce e.g. 30 days from a date? When I do the following "2011-05-01 CEST" -"2011-04-01 CEST" I get: "Time difference of 30 days" an thats fine. But when I try "2011-05-01 CEST" - 30 I get nonsense. So how can I subtract some days, month or years from a date? thanking you in anticipation Claudia Paladini

Getting eps into Word documents.
A student in one of my courses has asked me about getting R graphics output (under Linux) into a Word document. I.e. she wants to do her R thing under Linux, but then do her word processing using Word. Scanning around the r-help archives I encountered an inquiry about this topic --- eps into Word documents --- from Paul Johnson but found no replies to it. I tried contacting him but the email

How do I plot a line followed by two forecast points?
Good day all, I'm trying to plot a continuous line plot, which is followed by two forecast points eg. one forecast point is 12 months out, and another 24 months out from the last date of the line plot. In my attempts so far, the second plot (the forecast points) is scaled against a new axis scale, thus the two plots are not directly comparable (I need the forecast points to be scaled

moving data and output?
Hello, I have a few questions now: 1. How can I move data the following way: I have 2 variables: one two 1 5 ^ 3 4 | 1 3 | 4 4 | Now I want to move the two one arround (sorry I don't know how to say that in english). That means: I want to move the first item at the end of my column and move the second at the first place, the third at the second, and so on. You can see it at

postscript bounding box in trellis/lattice plot is wrong ?
Hi, a problem involving postscript bounding boxes: I'm composing three scatterplots into a single figure, postsript for publication. The individual scatterplots should be square, so the overall figure should have a roughly 1:3 sort of aspect ratio. By default however, the overall figure comes out nearly square, and the scatterplots are stretched vertically. I fixed this by adding

cluster analysis with pairwise data
Hello, I want to do a cluster analysis with my data. The problem is, that the variables dont't consist of single value but the entries are pairs of values. That lokks like this: Variable 1: Variable2: Variable3: . . . (1,2) (1,5) (4,2) (7,8) (3,88) (6,5) (4,7) (12,4) (4,4) . . . .

locator() via tcltk
Hello, I'm trying to write a function using tcltk to interactively modify a plot and gather locator() data. I've read Peter's articles in Rnews, the help pages in tcltk, http://bioinf.wehi.edu.au/~wettenhall/RTclTkExamples/, plus a post in R-help sometime ago, but haven't found a solution. The idea goes something like this: require(tcltk) testplot <- function() { getcoords
