debian unstable : mutt polling imap mailboxes
Package: dovecot
Version: 0.99.10.4-2
I am accessing my IMAP folder on my ~/Maildir using mutt via Dovecot and
I have this problem whereby mutt incorrectly reports I have new mail in a
"mailboxes" polled mailbox.
This happens all the time when I press the key bound to change mailbox.
I use courier IMAP at school, and I have not experienced this problem. A
bug with dovecot or mutt?

Network issue
Hi Stephen,
Thanks again for getting back to me, Ivan Krylov responded also and suggested windows binaries and I must confess I was only familiar with installing from files via the package sources (apart from the conventional install.packages method), so the solution was as simple as installing via the binaries. Thanks again, best wishes, James

Hi,
Sorry for bothering you because I know that your time is voluntary, but I would really appreciate some help. I work in a hospital in part of Ireland?s national health service, a service which was struck by a massive cyber attack a couple of years ago. Since

SPSS and library(foreign)
Hi,
I have a valid SPSS .sav file (which I can open happily in SPSS v11 on
Windows XP).
Opening it in R2.41 on Linux we get this message :-

In addition: Warning message: HSE.sav:

how to check linearity in Cox regression
Hi, I am just wondering if there is a test available for testing if a linear fit of an independent variable in a Cox regression is enough? Thanks for any suggestions.

VoIP experiences with Cable and DSL
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi,
A thought occurred to me;
Background;
In the early days of cable, the cable people seemed clueless to things like
over selling bandwidth. But as time went along they got it better and better
under control.
Of course their natural competitor, DSL, created a bigger demand for them to
get things under control.
Today cable is often giving

nlm, hessian, and derivatives in obj function?
I've been working on a new package and I have a few questions regarding the
behaviour of the nlm function. I've been (for better or worse) using the nlm
function to fit a linear model without suppling the hessian or gradient
attributes in the objective function. I'm curious as to why the nlm requires
31 iterations (for the linear model), and then it doesn't work when I try to

Backup Maildir
Hi All,
I'm currently doing nightly full backups of /home. I'm not sure if a
full back up is the best way to do backups. I know with my
fileserver i do weekly full backup and daily incremental which would
file on those type of files. I guess my question to the group is,
how do you guys backup Maildir? whats the best way of doing it?

OT: PRI costs in US
Hello!
Several of my customers would like to add a backup to their Internet
connection. ISDN is a good solution: decently fast for a dial-up-type
connection, yet still faily affordable. While I was at it, I decided to
look at a couple of more creative telephone service options to possibly
improve their service or lower costs at the same time. These customers
range from having just a

then stores the password changes in encrypted form in a private area.
On each synchronization schedule, the synchronization service first examines
the SAM file for changes, and then checks this private area for passwords
