blazer_usb for SVEN Power Pro+ 500 USB
Hello guys,
Please help me to resolve the issue.
I bought 'SVEN Power Pro+ 500 USB' UPS few days ago and tried to setup
NUT 2.6.0 to work with it.
blazer_ups driver doesn't recognize the UPS :(
The Manufacturer provides 'PowerD' software for linux with
installation instractions on a CD (see example below).

Securities earning covariance
Good morning,
I am a new R user and I am trying to learn how to use it.
I am trying to solve this problem.
I have a dataframe df of daily securities (for a year) earnings as
follows:
SEC_ID DAY EARNING
IT0000001 20070101 5.467
IT0000001 20070102 5.456
IT0000001 20070103 4.954
IT0000001 20070104 3.456

interpretation of F-statistics in GAMs
dear listers,
I use gam (from mgcv) for evaluation of shape and strength of relationships
between a response variable and several predictors.
How can I interpret the 'F' values viven in the GAM summary? Is it
appropriate to treat them in a similar manner as the T-statistics in a
linear model, i.e. larger values mean that this variable has a stronger
impact than a variable with smaller F?

How to obtain the coefficients from a summary of aov ?
Dear Madame, Dear Sir,
I am able to obtain the coefficients from a 'summary' of 'lm', but NOT from a 'summary' of 'aov'.
The following example shows my steps.
## Initialize
rm(list = ls()) # remove (almost) everything in the working environment
utils::data(npk, package="MASS") # get data
model <- yield ~ block + N*P*K
## Using lm

回复: cch() and coxph() for case-cohort
I tried to compare if cch() and coxph() can generate same result for
same case cohort data
Use the standard data in cch(): nwtco
Since in cch contains the cohort size=4028, while ccoh.data size =1154
after selection, but coxph does not contain info of cohort size=4028.
The rough estimate between coxph() and cch() is same, but the lower
and upper CI and P-value are a little different. Can we

Re gression by groups questions
I have a large dataset grouped by a factor and I want to perform a regression
on each data subset based on this factor. There are many ways to do this,
posted here and elsewhere. I have tried several. However I found one method
posted on the R wiki which works exactly as I want, and I like the elegance
and simplicity of the solution, but I don't understand how it works. Its

missing values at a combination of two factors
Dear All,
I have two factors: GROUP and PATIENT, where PATIENT is nested within
GROUP.
>levels(example$GROUP)
[1] "0" "1" "2" "3" "4"
> levels(example$PATIENT)
[1] "1" "2" "3"
There are three observations at each combination of these factors.
However, there are no observations for PATIENT = 3 and GROUP

GLM problems.
Dear R users I'm new in R management and maybe It's a silly question. I'm
working with GLM to obtain predictive models. I have some problesm with the
prediction instruction:
> DatosTotal <- read.csv("Var_perdizcsv.csv", sep =";")
> edvariable <- edit(DatosTotal)
> pre <- predict(rlfinal, DatosTotal, type = 'probs')

cch function and time dependent covariates
----- begin included message
In case cohort study, we can fit proportional hazard regression model to
case-cohort data. In R, the function is cch() in Survival package
Now I am working on case cohort analysis with time dependent covariates
using cch() of "Survival" R package. I wonder if cch() provide this utility
or not?
The cch() manual does not say if time dependent covariate is

Bandwidth Limits
Has anyone noticed that the --bwlimit doesn't really work?
I have MRTG stats happening, and on a 128Kbps circuit, an rsync
with the following syntax takes up the whole line.
$ rsync -avz -e ssh localfiles.tar.gz user@remote:/path/to/file/arch
Any ideas? It's on an OpenBSD box going to a FreeBSD box. Both are

R Equivalent to matlab's find() command?
hi,
Just a very simple question: is there an R equivalent to the matlab
command find(X) which returns the indices of vector X that store
non-zero elements?
e.g.
> find( [1 0 0 1 0])
ans =
1 4
so, in R, how do I do:
ans <- rfind( c(1,0,0,1,0))
so that ans is the vector c(1,4)
thanks, stephen

how lm behaves
I was wondering if somebody could explain why I get different results here:
>treats[,2]<-as.factor(treats[,2])
>treats[,5]<-as.factor(treats[,5])
>treats[,4]<-as.factor(treats[,4])
#there are 'c' on more days than I have 'h2o2', where treats[,4] is the day. I only want 'c' that correspond to the same days that I have a 'h2o2' also.

[LLVMdev] libiomp, not libgomp as default library linked with -fopenmp
A couple more data points. Current llvm 3.7svn with the two outstanding
OPENMP patches can build the openmp support in gdl 0.9.5 (which completely
passes its test suite) and apbs 1.4.1's limited openmp support.

Help fit 5 nonlinear models. - Plant growth curves
Hi!! Can anyone help me, i have problems to converge the following
data with 5 nonlinears models that i evaluated.
Firtly, i send my data (totalsinatipicos) that i just try to fit with
the nonlinear models.
Next, i have the following script where i called the data as
totalsinatipicos. I made selfstarting each nonlinear model.

Subsetting to unique values
I want to take the first row of each unique ID value from a data frame.
For instance
> ddTable <-
data.frame(Id=c(1,1,2,2),name=c("Paul","Joe","Bob","Larry"))
I want a dataset that is
Id Name
1 Paul
2 Bob
> unique(ddTable)
Will give me all 4 rows, and
> unique(ddTable$Id)
Will give me c(1,2), but not accompanied by the name column.

[xen-unstable] Commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, makes dom0 boot process stall several times.
Hi Jan,
After commit 2ca9fbd739b8a72b16dd790d0fff7b75f5488fb8 AMD IOMMU: allocate IRTE entries instead of using a static mapping, booting dom0 stalls several times.
Sometimes this results in RCU stall warnings from the dom0 kernel, hitting the "any" key, on normal or serial console, makes the boot continue for a while but it stalls several times.
(It also stalls on shutdown BTW)
I have
