want to call R from aplatform written i strict ANSI C
Hi, I would like to connect my GHA-system to R and to deliver the library to users of R. could you give me a comprehensive example containing the step by step procedure to: 1. create a callable library with R binaries (not having a standalone version of R with its own main()). If possible, I would like to run the system on unix, alpha, linux computers as well as on IBM's parallel

calling an R-function from C
Hi, I would like to invoke an R-function from a program written in ANSI C. Assume that I have written an R script "myRexample" and I want to invoke it from C. I assume that my R script loads its data from a datafile so no arguments need to be passed between my C program and R. Following R-exts.pdf (section 4.7), I write the following main: #include "my.h"

Sweave problem, with multicolumn tables from R to LaTeX
Hi there, I have been using the example provided bellow for a while, and It was working without any problem. Nevertheless, just since 2-3 days is not working, probably because I did update.packages(). I have tried to re-install the older versions of the packages Hmisc() and xtable(), but still does not work. Can you run this example, and tell me if you got the same problems? I use

[Bridge] [PATCH v2] net: add ETH_P_802_3_MIN
Add a new constant ETH_P_802_3_MIN, the minimum ethernet type for an 802.3 frame. Frames with a lower value in the ethernet type field are Ethernet II. Also update all the users of this value that David Miller and I could find to use the new constant. Also correct a bug in util.c. The comparison with ETH_P_802_3_MIN should be >= not >. As suggested by Jesse Gross. Compile tested only.

Xen Store error : out of memory
Hi, I''m running snv84 on a SunFire x2200M2, 2 dualcore opterons, 8GB ram, 2 mirror sata disks (zfs). I tried to install both Ubuntu 7.1 Desktop and Fedora 8 into a HVM domU but failed everytime. The VNC-Server for the domU dies, but the domain still consumes CPU time, disks go idle after a while (zpool iostat or iostat show zero I/O). The domUs booted up fine, the installer started,

Logistic regression on aggregate data
Hi, I want to run a logistic regression on summary data and I was not able to find the adequate R function to do so. The data is summarized daily and instead of the binary y_t I have n_d and m_d, where is the number of instances in which a choice could have been made and m_d is the number of instances in which the choice was made. The other characteristics have been averaged throughout the day.

Experimental CI tool for R
Based on ideas from the R-core discussion panel at useR2020, I created a little CI tool to make it easier to follow changes in R-devel, and to write/test patches for R. The tool is based on a Github mirror of the SVN, where each new commit triggers a full make-check on 8 different system configurations. The results are published on: https://r-devel.github.io which gives an overview of the most

PROC MIXED user trying to use (n)lme...
Dear R-users Coming from a proc mixed (SAS) background I am trying to get into the use of (n)lme. In this connection, I have some (presumably stupid) questions which I am sure someone out there can answer: 1) With proc mixed it is easy to get a hold on the estimated variance parameters as they can be put out into a SAS data set. How do I do the same with lme-objects? For example, I can see the

[PATCH 0 of 3] xen: sched_credit: fix tickling and add some tracing
Hello, This small series deals with some weirdness in the mechanism with which the credit scheduler choses what PCPU to tickle upon a VCPU wake-up. Details are available in the changelog of the first patch. The new approach has been extensively benchmarked and proved itself either beneficial or harmless. That means it does not introduce any significant amount of overhead and/or performances
