ices: forcing an immediate reread of the playlist
Hi all, I'm currently trying to set up ices2 with icecast2 along with otto, a jukebox interface written in perl. Otto allows the user to kill a song via the web interface, which in turn kills all running instances of ices, rewrites the playlist and launches ices. This has the bad side effect of terminating the client's connection to icecast and leaving a bunch of ices

Latest R-devel build failing on OS X
Readline <= 6.2 shouldn't require the SIGWINCH patch, so if older versions have trouble finding rl_resize_terminal then you could wrap a macro around that part. The isearch C-c bug has existed forever, according to Chet Ramey. Yes, I had to retrain myself to use C-g to exit isearch but it's confusing. It would be nice to fix this C-c bug on older versions too, but my solution used some

Latest R-devel build failing on OS X
Ah, got it. For some ancient reason config.site on that machine had LDFLAGS=-L/usr/X11R6/lib in config.site, and that prevented configure from inserting -L /usr/local/lib, so linked /usr/lib/libreadline.dylib, which is the Apple-supplied one, which possibly is really libedit... -p > On 18 May 2016, at 22:01 , peter dalgaard <pdalgd at gmail.com> wrote: > > gcc

[PATCH] (vesa)menu.c32: Add support for BLS
Modern distributions are moving toward a common boot scheme called "The Boot Loader Specification". This patch enables syslinux's (vesa)menu.c32 modules to parse the drop-in files that are defined by this new specification. Link to The Boot Loader Specification: https://systemd.io/BOOT_LOADER_SPECIFICATION Link to demonstration bootdisk image (82MB gzipped):

The patch was broken. I missed the new core/path.c file. My bad.

That is a bigger change but is probably a better solution. How would this solution handle filenames containing spaces? Would we need to escape (presumably with a backslash)

[GIT PULL] elflink ldlinux
Hi, These patches contain support for some features that are already in Syslinux 4 but weren't working properly on the elflink branch. It's another step closer to feature parity with Syslinux 4. Having to jump through the comboot API for localboot support is less than ideal and I'll eventually fix that, probably when we move a big chunk of code from asm to C. Also, there's a

Compiling R with Intel compilers - recommended options?
Hi, I'm a sysadmin who's been tasked with installing R on our 1000-node compute cluster. I have licences for the Intel C and FORTRAN compilers, so I'm using the following to compile: CFLAGS="-O2 -axWK" FFLAGS=$CFLAGS CXXFLAGS=$CFLAGS CC=icc F77=ifort CXX=icc FPICFLAGS=-fpic ./configure --without-x --without-tcltk The compilation seems to go OK, with a few warnings.

X11 Fonts sizes
In postscript graphs (pointsize = 10, different sizes in graph adjusted via cex) I would like to use different font sizes but get the following warning message: Warning messages: 1: X11 used font size 8 when 9 was requested 2: X11 used font size 8 when 7 was requested 3: X11 used font size 8 when 5 was requested This is probably not a R but a X11 problem, nevertheless I would be most

Using time series and lm
Hello, I apologize for this question that may has been asked a lot of times but I could not go through it. I create a multivariate time series containing NA values. I want to compute a linear regression and obtain a time serie for both residuals and fitted values. I have tried the trick ts.intersect, without success. Could you help me out of this? #### Example: y<-ts(1:10+rnorm(10))

POP3 download problem
Hi All I am experiencing a mail download problem with dovecot's pop3 protocol. We use outlook XP 2002 mail clients and I have setup a mail system with pop accounts on a Fedora 2 installation using dovecot. Some of the clients download email fine but others do not download email and also do not give any error messages. I have enabled the "verbose" options in the
