Re: Problems with rgl package
I also downloaded the rgl package (after reading recent Uwe Ligges' post) and installed in on my Win2k Pro sp2 machine. It seems to work with no problems. I ran most of the examples, including the hist3d one, and all of them worked fine. A couple of thoughts. I have administrative priviliges on my machine. Could this possible make a difference. The rgl library uses OpenGL. Is it a

force user not working
Hello. I am making a new samba server. My old samba server was a RedHat machine (6.2) with samba 2.0.7 on it. My new samba server is a Gentoo machine with Samba 3.0.2a. Aside from the fact that I am now using ADS instead of a traditional NT4 domain -- everything else is the same. I am keeping all the shares the same, I have synced all the gid's and uid's between the two machines,

samba problems with FreeBSD
i'm trying to setup a PDC with my FreeBSD box. i'm following the directions in "Samba Unleashed" by SAMS. in it they mention the creation of a server user account. this is the example they give: useradd -c "Samba PDC fir MYDOMAIN" -M -s /bin/false -n PERSEUS$ other than the fact FreeBSD doesn't use useradd and that pw useradd doesn't have a "-M"

Ordinal categorical data with GLM
Hello All: I am trying to replicate the results of an example found in Alan Agresti's "Categorical Data Analysis" on pages 267-269. The example is one of a 2 x 2 cross-classification table of ordinal counts: job satisfaction and income. I am able to get Agresti's results for the independence model (G^2 = 12.03 with df = 9) assuming as he does that the data is nominal, but
