R + LaTeX formula
Hi,
what is actually the best method to include R-plots into LaTeX documents?
At the moment i use
postscript("myplot.eps", width = 12.0, height = 9.0, horizontal = FALSE,
onefile = TRUE, paper = "special",encoding = "TeXtext.enc")
plot(foo,bar)
dev.off()
But it is a bit unhandy to scale later and its difficult to get nice
formula in the plots.
And how should

The full check (and other) log is at

postscript (eps) / latex / par(mfg=...) / problem!
The same problem I am having has been reported here
http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/devel/04a/0344.html
Namely that using par(mfg=...) with a postscript (eps) for inclusion with
latex makes the figure appear upside down and back to front (flipped)!
Converting the dvi to ps makes matters worse (the eps seems to be broken),
however, it appears fine with gv.
Here is (basically) the code I am

Sweave/LaTeX Problem with EPS PDF
Dear List:
I am unsure if my problem is with Sweave or LaTeX. Anyhow, I am using the MikTeX distribution and TexnicCenter.
I can easily create Sweave files and all goes well until I try to incorporate graphics. I use the same code as found in the examples found in the users manual.
In R, the graphics I want are created as Sweave is creating the .tex file. When I examine the .tex file

latex{Hmisc} cannot find xdvi on MAC OS X
Hello.
I am posting this on behalf of a student in my class. I have been
introducing them to R.
I suspect that the problem I need help with is not so much an R
issue, but a MAC config issue, but I don't have enough MAC
experience to know what to do.
Anyway, on to the problem. We are using Frank Harrell's Hmisc
and Design packages. This student also wishes to use the latex

plotmath
There's something (probably a lot) missing in my understanding of
plotmath. The LaTeX code for what I'm trying to produce is
\log(-\log(\hat R))
My (probably hopeless) attempt at it uses nested group()s:
expression(plain(log) * group("(", -plain(log)*group("(", \hat(R), ")"),
")"))
Can anyone do it right for me, please?
Thanks,
Ted.

While using R CMD check: LaTex error: File `inconsolata.sty' not found
Hi,
While using R CMD check I get the following Latex error message which occurs when creating PDF version of manual:
LaTex error: File `inconsolata.sty' not found
I am using Windows 7 (64-bit) and R 3.0.1. I have MikTex 2.9.
I see that the incosolata.sty is present under \doc\fonts folder. How can I eliminate this problem?
Thanks,

Sweave / Latex per-chapter output
Dear R-help,
I am using Sweave and pdflatex to generate a large report from data
contained in my database (Postgres via RODBC). Currently, I work with
a single R/Sweave file, containing several "chapter" indications for
the Latex engine. My master tex file sets the document class, and
includes the introduction, the main Sweave file, and a conclusions and
reference file. I use a makefile
