Importing data into R
I have a highly formated Excel with multiple tabs. Is
it currently possible to read this data into R without
changing the format of the Excel file?
Also, is it possible to write back to the same Excel
file or at least create a new Excel file with the same
formatting as before with modified data which has been
processed in R.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

2. I'd like to develop an VB application and use R as
the "backgroud calculator".
How do I call R and its function in VB?
Thanks,

DCOM graphics bug?
Hi!
I am trying to display a graphic using the dcom server and the dcom graphics
object. Works fine without the embedded graphics object, in it's own
windows, but if i use the embedded object (what I need to do) the colors are
gone. Graphics are always only black and white. Even in the DCOM examples
for VB the graphics are without color - is this a bug? Can I do anything
about it?

Graphics ?
Hi,
In the Windows version of R 0.65.1 I'd like to copy the results of a plot to
the clipboard either as a bitmap or as a metafile. The same thing in fact as
does the menu "Copy to the clipboard" provides but from the command line. I
intend to use the DCOM server version of R to do plots, among other things
and copy the results to the clipboard and show these on a picture box in my

How to use R script in VB?
Hello R friends,
I want to use my R script in VB to make macro in Excel.
I tried with RExcel but it seems to me that this package is just GUI API
and I still have to run(connect) R to use the script.
Google tells me there are some ways to make R script as an independent
library/module/header so that I can call it in VB, C or JAVA.
Where can I get detailed tutorial or manual for that?

Build a connectivity between .NET and R without using any interface
Dear All
I like to develop an application using .NET and R. The front end would be
.NET and statistical analysis would be done in R in the back end. So I
want to integrate .NET(VB) with R without using any interface (e.g., R
(D)com) to control. Secondly, I like to use Rscript (by calling .R files)
from VB .NET environment for the analysis. Finally, I want to display the
R-outputs including

excel/r interface
Dear all,
I am quite new to R and for preofessional reasons I was interested in the R/excel interface by Baier and Neuwirth. After setup I see the Rexcel and the Rhelp on the Menu bar of Microsoft Excel XP. However, after putting the formula =RApply("pchisqr", 30, 1) Excel returns the message "could not start Rserver". Any suggestions how to fix this. How do run this

[PATCH RFC kernel] balloon: speed up inflating/deflating process
The implementation of the current virtio-balloon is not very efficient,
Bellow is test result of time spends on inflating the balloon to 3GB of
a 4GB idle guest:
a. allocating pages (6.5%, 103ms)
b. sending PFNs to host (68.3%, 787ms)
c. address translation (6.1%, 96ms)
d. madvise (19%, 300ms)
It takes about 1577ms for the whole inflating process to complete. The
