kolmogorov-smirnov
Hello, I got a rather simple question: Can I find somewhere in R the significance values for a Kolmogorov distribution (I know the degrees of freedom and I have already the maximum deviation). ks.test is not really doing what I want. All I need is the values, like one can get the values for a chi-squared distribution by 'qchisq(0.05, 375)'. tnx, Kurt.

Re: [R] help file extension (fwd)
This R-help thread reminds me that it would be nice if the CRAN website made vignettes for packages available in pdf form in the same way that the manual pages are now available. As the number of packages expands users might benefit from a brief introduction to the package as an alternative, or in addition to, a look at the manual. It would also be a good inducement for package writers to

building zip?
Hello, I know this might sound stupid, but here's my problem. I try to build packages, which gives absolutely no problem as long as I do this in Linux. I get my .tar.gz-package. However, for windows, one needs .zip-files (I guess), but for one reason or another, this seems not to work. I'm sorry about this question, but I'm not a windows-specialist (nor Linux-guru). I don't see

Motherboards
Does anyone have any experience with Super-Micro brand motherboards // dual Xeon cpu's? Had to swap out my Tyan piece of junk and going back with the S-M board. I believe it has similar north/southbridge chips on it -- at least they are the intel MCH ICH5R and PXH plus the 82546GB. One area that the Tyan board was seriously lacking in was in the hardware monitoring department. The S-M

ENVELOPE mishandling of Subject lines with quote(s)?
Hi, I am running dovecot version 1.2.9 on a Ubuntu 10.04 server. To obtain the message's header info from this dovecot imap server, I run the following imap command on a client side's imap session: . fetch 88:90 (envelope) which returns (in this case) ------------------------------------------------------------- * 88 FETCH (ENVELOPE ("Tue, 28 Oct 2008 15:45:35 -0500"

Serial port problem and strange solution (Fujitsu MCU development under wine)
Hi to everyone, this is my first post to the list. I'm developing an application for a Fujitsu MCU (90364 series) using Fujitsu Softune6 Workbench in linux under wine. Everithing works well exept for the firmware serial uploader. It starts and sends some commands to the MCU but hangs with a timeout error (obviously I've correctly simlinked and chmodded the appropriate ttyS*). To

Latex no where to be seen
I'm experimenting using R as a report writer. I'm told LaTex is the destination for my quest. But ?latex() gives me an error. The package manager does not have it. The package installer can't find it. Where is it? It amazes me that there's not a built in "report" function that can produce the same kinds of reports that every report writer and data analysis software in

5.2 driver for Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller
Hello, I'm trying to install CentOS 5.2 on an HP 6730s notebook. All's going well except for one little item -- the networking. Never thought I'd have trouble with an Ethernet adapter, so I didn't even check before buying this machine; it was cheap. The adapter is a Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller. I can't find a Linux driver for it except one that

[LLVMdev] Arm port
Hi, - Cortex-A8 needs a specific instruction scheduler as dual issue forces you to interleave some instructions to allow to run two instructions in the same cycle for the best performance (Cortex-A9 is out-of-order so dual issue is not an issue (!) for performance). - Cortex-A8/A9 have several useful new instructions : for instance, bit operations like bitfield insertion/extraction or having
