Lonked Select Boxes
linked selects are critical to my application. for those who don''t know,
a linked select updates as the select box it is linked to is updated.
for example, if select 1 is "California", then select 2 will list all
the cities in California.
change select 1 to Washington and select 2 will automatically change to
list all the cities in Washington.

Xen 4.2 with xcp-xapi - operation not permitted
New build with Ubuntu 13.04 and Xen 4.2. Installed XCP-XAPI as the plan was
to use XenCenter to manage the installation.
I pretty much followed this guide here:

How to verify using more than 2GB of memory
My machine has 4Gb of memory under WinXP Pro. Re-reading R for
Windows FAQ 2.7 I discovered that I can use editbin to add the
"/LARGEADDRESSAWARE" tag in the header without re-compiling, so that
is what I did. I also check that it worked using dumpbin. I then
edited my Boot.ini file to add the /3GB switch. Then I went to my
R.0.0.1 patched that I modified as above and checked memory

sip phone problem
Hi all.
I have 2 ip phones (Grandstream Budgetone):
   -budgetone1
   -budgetone2
All two are connected to an Asterisk server.
When I make a call from budgetone1 to budgetone2, I
can speak with budgetone2 whith no problem. But when
budgetone2 hangs up, budgetone1 does not play any tone
(like busy tone). Budgetone1 seems to be still in
conversation, but what conversation!
Has anyone had a problem

Need help putting histograms on the diagonal of a splom plot
Hello,
I am in need of help in putting histograms on the diagonal of a plot
produced with splom().
The plot matrix I am trying to produce is to have standard scatterplots
in the upper-left triangle, contour plots in the lower-right triangle,
and histograms on the diagonal. I have a function that does the first
two, but the histograms on the diagonal has been beyond my ability.

O/T: Good OSX Primer
A bit off topic, but I know there are a lot of smart Mac evangelists on
the list so I thought I''d pose the question here.
I made the switch to OS X after Apple moved to the x86 platform. Now
that VMWare can be ported to OS X, it''s a practical platform for me.
I''m an ex *nix admin, so I ''get the drift''; however, I''m looking for a
good guide

clean-up actions after non-local exits
Dear R-devel,
Some time ago I started a thread that boiled down to clean-up actions after non-local exits in R, see below. I wonder if there has been any progress on this? R-ext 2.6.1 doesn't say much on the subject.
How, for example, do people deal with a situation where their C (C++) function opens a file and then receives a signal or longjump-s on error(), how do they make sure the

Forwarding To Cell Phones with Asterrisk PBX
Hello,
My company has a 800 number that we use for customer service. However, instead of having our customer service reps at the office, we route these calls to their cell phones using a service provided by gosolo.com. However our current system isn't ideal because it will call each number in order causing longer and longer waits when we've got people on the line. Our goal is to set

GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
*shrug* I don't use arbiter for vm work loads just straight replica 3.
There are some gotchas with using an arbiter for VM workloads. If
quorum-type is auto and a brick that is not the arbiter drop out then if
the up brick is dirty as far as the arbiter is concerned i.e. the only good
copy is on the down brick you will get ENOTCONN and your VMs will halt on
IO.

GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
Hi Neil, docs mention two live nodes of replica 3 blaming each other and
refusing to do IO.

How to set up a 4 way gluster file system
Hi,
With replica 2 volumes one can easily end up in split-brains if there are
frequent disconnects and high IOs going on.
If you use replica 3 or arbiter volumes, it will guard you by using the
quorum mechanism giving you both consistency and availability.
But in replica 2 volumes, quorum does not make sense since it needs both
the nodes up to guarantee consistency, which costs availability.

[LLD] Support DWARF64, debug_info "sorting"
This year Igor Kudrin put in a lot of work in enabling DWARF64 support in LLVM. At Facebook we are looking into it as one of the options for handling debug information over 4gigs in production environment. One concern is that due to mix of third party libraries and llvm compiled code the final library/binary will have a mix of CU that are DWARF32/64. This is supported by DWARF format. With this
