How to use a C code in R
hello, I have a c code which uses clapack. I want to integrate R with this code. It said that I create a R package including my c code. Then build it with putting PKG_LIBS = $(LAPACK_LIBS). I want to know the interface LAPACK_LIBS is Fortran or C? If it is written in Fortran, how can I build them together? If I can build them together, I still use the function in cLapack or the function in

R + C + Lapack toy regression example
dear list, since matrix manipulations is often of interest in statistical computations, i'd like to get a working example of using Lapack for regression. However, i run into an error. My matrix-lapack-example.c file: #include <R_ext/Lapack.h> void reg(const char* trans, const int* m, const int* n, const int* nrhs, double* a, const int* lda, double* b, const int*

How to connect R with a C code which includes Atlas
Hello, everybody, Happy New Year! I am a graduate student from Concordia University. I meet a problem when I am working on my thesis. I hope I will get help from you. I have a mathematical model which was already implemented by using R language. However, part of this model includes fixed point iteration algorithm and calculation of large linear equations which n will get to 5000. Because of

F77_CALL/NAME problem
Dear R-devel, I am trying to use Fortran DGESV subroutine into C. Here it is the relevant part of the C file I am currently writing #include<stdio.h> #include<R.h> #include<Rmath.h> #include<math.h> void F77_NAME(DGESV)( int*, int*, double*, int*, int*, double*, int*, int*); void solve( int *p, double *A, double *Ainv) { ... Using R's LAPACK & Related files in Visual C++
I am a relative newcomer to both the R and C/C++ software worlds -- I'm taking a C Programming class currently. I noticed the other day that the C:\Program Files\R1_8_1\src\include\R_ext directory on my WinXP box has the header files BLAS.h Lapack.h Linpack.h RLapack.h I am interested in (perhaps) using one or more of these header files in a straight C program I'm working on in Visual

About function "unif_rand()"
hello, everybody, I met a problem that I want to generate a random uniform number by using function with c interface. What I found is only "unif_rand()", but its range is [0,1]. How can I create a uniform random variable by using a function with c interface. Who can tell me what function it is and how to use? I will appreciate for it very much. Thanks in advance! xiaotong wang

Question about multiple regression
Dear R-list, maybe some of you could point me in the right direction: Are you aware of any FREE Fortran or Java libraries/actual pieces of code that are VERY efficient (time-wise) in running the regular linear least-squares multiple regression? More specifically, I have to run small regression models (between 1 and 15 predictors) on samples of up to N=700 but thousands and thousands of them. I

How to use a R package with C code
Hello, everybody, I created a R package which includes C code. But I load this package, and carry out the R function in it. It shows C function is not in load table as follows. Would you tell me what is the problem? Where do I make mistake? Maggie [Previously saved workspace restored] > library(var) Attaching package 'var': The following object(s) are masked _by_

eliminate t() and %*% using crossprod() and solve(A,b)
Hi I have a square matrix Ainv of size N-by-N where N ~ 1000 I have a rectangular matrix H of size N by n where n ~ 4. I have a vector d of length N. I need X = solve(t(H) %*% Ainv %*% H) %*% t(H) %*% Ainv %*% d and H %*% X. It is possible to rewrite X in the recommended crossprod way: X <- solve(quad.form(Ainv, H), crossprod(crossprod(Ainv, H), d)) where quad.form() is a little

Solving equations
Hello, Does somebody knows if there exists a function which solves a set of equation, say f(vars), for the variables vars (similar to Solve in mathematica). The functions I am considering are of the form f(t) ~ A*exp(B*t), where A and B are matrices. Thanks Thomas

Urgent:again question about nmath/standalone

question about /nmath/standalone
Hello, I can't link a c code with Mathlib according to introduction of R manual "Writing R Extensions", page 60. Hi, I got this working. i had to get rid of an underscore in one of my variable names to work on RWeb. Thanks for your help though!! Why the condition was changed from "test<-subset(X, GRADE == 7 & Y_Q10A < 9)" to

Rweb: how to use source()
I cannot discover how to set or find the working directory in Rweb, so that I can source() a file from the server. The file I source() must refer to a data file in its directory. setwd() does not do anything, and getwd() says that the working directory is in /var/www/cgi-bin/ (on Linux). (I have a student who installed R on her own computer and analyzed half of her data, and then her computer

Package Dependency
Lately, I see a dependency problem with R-3.2 systems. install.packages allows dependencies, but they are not installed so the install fails. I see this a lot with students who are able to install packages like ggplot2 but then can't load it because a dependency "stringi" is missing. Those students are generally using Windows, but today I reproduced the same on RedHat Linux with

S/R/RWeb/ODBC
I'm looking for an optimal approach to access Oracle databases via RWeb applications. I'm new to R but familiar with programming functions and web pages for the S+ Statserver. I'm now going through the motions of migrating S+/Statserver applications to R/RWeb as a feasability exercise. I can access databases using ODBC directly in R or S, and using Statserver, but I have not succeeded
