Problem with RMA using limma, oligo and pdInfoBuilder packages
Hi, I am a Ph.D. student from Québec, Canada. I’m a beginner with R and Bioconductor. Until now the only experience I have is in analyzing microarray data using affy and limma packages. Now I am trying to analyze Rat Gene 10 st arrays and I would like to run RMA analysis and Smyth moderated t test on those arrays. Since no cdf official package is available for those arrays, after reading many

long algo
Hi everyone, I ve been using R for months and find it really practical and straight forward. However (the inevitable however), I am finding it very slow for one of my operations: it s basically an itertation over i and j in a pretty big table (4* 4608). It takes 30 minutes!!!! Thanks Ps:if it can help here is the source: median1<-matrix(nrow=4608,ncol=1)

Re: VMware tools in standard CentOS [ was Re: www.centos.org - Contact the CentOS Development Team Form ]
[ Sorry for the very belated response ] Thanks, Tru. What is the process for Sean's work to make it into the standard CentOS5 and 5.1 repositories? How will the tools package get updated as you patch the kernel? Perhaps we should cc Sean on the email? His home page on the Duke server has no contact information. Thanks, Andrew [ Resent to the centos-virt email list, as recommended by

[RFC] Framework for Finding and Using Similarity at the IR Level

I’m not sure which ordering you’re looking at the patches, but a cost model was not added to the outliner until D87299. So, if that hasn’t been added I would expect some pretty big code increases since it just outlines whatever similarity it finds

[RFC] Turn the MachineOutliner on by default in AArch64 under -Oz
Hello A 4.4% geomean codesize improvement is really impressive. That stuff is hard to come by, you usually have to nibble away at it bit at a time. I ran some codesize benchmarks we have and they were in the same ballpark. Some of these are quite small so had less opportunity for outlining, but the average was still over 3% with some as high as 9-10%. All the tests I ran were fine, although we

Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys, I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around with the logo colors. The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),
