help repeated measures factoial design
Dear All,
A few weeks ago I posted a question to this list but unfortunately got no
answer! A friend warned me of my english.
Again, the problem is:
A 2-level 5-factors completely randomized design was used to investigate the
potential effects of those factors on a solution's characters (several response
variables).
Each response-variable was measured repeatedly (13 times) during a

Non parametric, repeated-measures, factorial ANOVA
Hi
I have data from an experiment that used a repeated-measures factorial 2x2
design (i.e. each participant contributed data to both levels of both
factors). I need a non-parametric version of the repeated-measures factorial
ANOVA to analyse the data. SPSS only has non-parametric tests for one-way
ANOVAs but I have been told that the test I need can be implemented using
the R software.

In fact this is a Stats question, but...
Dear All,
I'me having (much) trouble understanding why it happened and answering
a referee's comment to part of a submitted manuscript. I've tried to

help w/ nonlinear regression
Dear All,
I'd like to fit a "kind" of logistic model to small data-set using nonlinear least-squares regression. A transcript of R-script are reproduced below. Estimated B and T (the model's coeff, herein B=-8,50 and T=5,46) seem appropriate (at least visually) but are quite diff from those obtained w/ SPSS (Levenberg-Marquardt): B=-19,56 and T=2,37. help with vector operation
Dear All,
I'm trying to calculate the following:
g.rate<-(SL-int)/NO
where SL and NO are individual length and counts for the same subject, and the
int value is a day-specific value i.e. for each DAY=88, 101..., 172 I'd like to
use a different values of int=9.32, 8.43, ..., 9.81. All variables are compiled
in a larger data.frame of the form:

How to create "special" (source) file
Dear All,
I'm a Marine Biologist using R (in a most informal and applied way) for a couple of years. Actually, I've been using R to analyse the results supporting my thesis. I would like to put together (in the same file) the data (.txt files) and the scripts files (.R files) for each chapter. How can I do this?
Thanks in advance, Eduardo Esteves

Dear All,
I'm having trouble tweaking a forest plot made using the R

In fact this is a Stats question, but... "The return."
*Thanks* all those who took the time to help me (even if the
"question" was not related to - the use of - R).
Now I think I can soundly make my point w/ the referee (can I use your
replies? If so I intend to properly cite its use?!?).

Fitting a multinomial model to a multi-way factorial design with repeated measures: help on package and syntax
Dear all,
I studied in tank prey fish behavior. Using the design described below
(and R code), I want to test the effects of both habitat and predator
(and interaction) on prey fish's vertical distribution, which was
recorded (with repeated measures) as a categorical variable.
I found that package mlogit might fit to my need but I don't know how to
specify my complex design in the

help w/ xyplot and panel.lmline
Dear All,
I'm confortable with xyplot(...) and panel.lmline(...) statements (at least I
thought I did :). I've used the following code to plot the decline in
log-abundance of fish larvae (no.larvae) with age (age.cls, 4 to 27 days-old)
for specific dates of sampling (day, 9 dates). I further plotted data with
different colors and regression lines for ages 5-14 d and 17-23 d in a 7-by-1

Repeated measures on a factorial unbalanced in a blocks with split-plot design
Dear all,
I am trying to analyze data from an experiment like this:
Factors:
Hormone - Levels: SH, CH (S = without; C=with; H=Hormone)
Time - Levels: 19/08/09, 04/09/09, 18/09/09, 08/10/09, 20/10/09 (DD/MM/YY)
Nutrition - Levels: Completa, Sem (without)
Macronutrition - Levels: Ca, K, Mg, P, Sem (without)

Repeated measures with categorical data
Hello,
I am working in a longitudinal study, with a categorical variable as a
dependent variable (alcohol consumption: no use, use, abuse and dependence)
with repeated measures (baseline, 1 year, 2 years). Besides I have another
variable with two groups: control and experimental.
I would like to analyze the evolution in each group, I have though in lme,
but I am not sure if I can do an lme with

Repeated measures unbalanced in a split-split design
Hi,
I have a experiment with block, plots, sub-plots, and sub-sub-plots
with repeated measures and 3 factors (factorial design) when we have
been observed diameter (mm), high (cm) and leaves number (count).
However, we don't have one treatment in one factor, so, my design is
unbalanced.
On a previous message here, a friend tell me that "It appears to me
that your design is a split-split

Roadmap for selecting an approach to analyzing repeated measures data
Dear Group,
At http://biostat.mc.vanderbilt.edu/tmp/summary.pdf I have put a draft
of a roadmap for choosing a method for analyzing serial (longitudinal)
data. If anyone has feedback about this, including adding criteria for
judging methods that I may have missed, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks

(nlme) Repeated measures with continuous covariate in lme
Dear readers,
I have a basic question about how to use lme for my design. I haven't been able to find an example in r-help that made it clear to me how to tackle this problem and unfortunately I also cannot get hold of Pinheiro & Bates 2000. I hope someone can help.
Data for the response variable "foan" were collected in:
· 60 plots
· plots were re-sampled yearly

MIXED MODEL WITH REPEATED MEASURES
I am trying to specify a mixed model for my research, but I can't quite get
it to work. I've spent several weeks looking thru various online sources to
no avail. I can't find an example of someone trying to do precisely what I'm
trying to do. I'm hoping some smart member of this mailing list may be able
to help.
First off, full disclosure: (1) I'm an engineer by trade, so

nonparametric 2way repeated-measures anova
Dear useRs
is there any nonparametric test for the analysis of variance in a design
with two within-factors (repeated measures on both factors)? Friedman is not
appropriate here, therefore I am grateful for any alternative test.
thanks for any hint
cheers
