Does the RPM for RH9 know about TCL/Tk
Sorry for the probable repeat post but I can only search the list up to 2002 (is there a better way?). I am using the RH9 RPM from CRAN but packages like AnalyzeFMRI say that tcltk is not found. Do I need to do more to get Tk GUIs working on RH9 or does the RPM not have tcltk support built in (should I compile from source). Thanks in advance. Take care. -Morgan

resize2fs on LVM on MD raid on Fedora Core 3 - inode table conflicts in fsck
Hi. I'm attempting to setup a box here to be a file-server for all my data. I'm attempting to resize an ext3 partition to demonstrate this capability to myself before fully committing to this system as the primary data storage. I'm having some problems resizing an ext3 filesystem after I've resized the underlying logical volume. Following the ext3 resize, fsck spits out lots

rpmbuild failure
I'm trying to rebuild nx-3.2.0-8.el5.centos.src.rpm from the extras repo. It works on a machine running 5.1, but fails on another running 5.3. The working machine is arch=x86_64, the other i386. The strange bit is the line rpmbuild complains about: it's the last line in the spec file, at the end of the %changelog section: [...] Processing files: nx-debuginfo-3.2.0-8 Finding Provides:

rpmbuild for different architecture [OT?]
As far as I can tell, the rpm-list went defunct circa 2008 so I'm asking here. No doubt someone will let me know if this is not OK. I'm trying to build an RPM on a CentOS VM targeted to run on an ARM architecture machine. I have a test program, prime, that I cross compiled on my VM and when I copy it onto my target machine it runs correctly. Now I want to package it in an RPM. On my

htree and Severn
My reading of the kernel.src.rpm doesn't indicate that Severn has ext3 htree patches. Stephen, were there any issues seen during Cerberus testing ? Regards, Yusuf -- Yusuf Goolamabbas yusufg@outblaze.com

The problem is that no matter what version of Samba I try to rebuild, it always gice an error at the same place:

Unix ADS group membership or vice versa
Hello, I have a Samba server set up as a member of an Active Directory domain. Authentication works great and my Windows users are able to log on to the Linux workstation without any problems. What I'd like to do is set up some of my local Unix accounts as members of ADS groups. Is this possible with Samba? If not, would it be possible to make an ADS account a member of a local Unix

Building source rpms does not build all the rpms.
I just downloaded the 2.2.4-2 src.rpm file from samba.org and installed and compiled on my intel-redhat 7.2 system. When I changed to /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386 I found only i386/samba-2.2.4-2.i386.rpm in it. There was no other rpms, even though the spec file says there will be. Here's the last few lines of the build output, I only see two rpms being created.

Issues with NVidia video driver and CentOS
Oh, this might be the issue - yum says it can't open "nvidia-x11-drv-304xx-304.135-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm" - let me download it again and see what happens. Are there md5 hash sums on these files? OT: errors building packages from src.rpm (trying to rebuild RHELIPA)
Hi all, I am trying to rebuild RHELIPA packages downloaded from ftp.redhat.com. All goes ok except from python-psycopg2 package.
