data structure with coefficients, and call from lm()
Widows XP
R 2.3.1
I have been trying to make a data structure that will contain both the coefficients from a linear regression along with column and row titles AND the call, i.e.
myreg<-lm(y~x+y+z)
whatIwant<-cbind(c(summary(myreg)$call,"",""),summary(myreg)$coefficients)
Neither the statement above, nor any one of twenty variations I have tried work. I would appreciate

Plotting shaded areas
Hi
I would like to plot the variation of some mean values with time,
and have the standard deviation around the mean shaded on the plot.
I could not find a way to have the shaded area on the curve with the
default R commands,
do I need a special package to do that?
Or any idea of a way with the default R commands?
Many thanks

store list objects in data.table
I am trying to store regression objects in a data.table
df <- data.frame(x = rnorm(20))
df[, "y"] <- with(df, x + 0.1 * x^2 + 0.2 * rnorm(20))
mydt <- data.table(mypower = c(1, 2), myreg = list(lm(y ~ x, data = df),
lm(y ~ x + I(x^2), data = df)))
mydt
#?? mypower??? myreg
#???? <num>?? <list>
#1:?????? 1 <lm[12]>
#2:?????? 2 <lm[12]>

[LLVMdev] Passing specific register for an Instruction in target description files.
Hi all,
I want to generate an assembly instruction for my target using target
description representation of the instruction. The problem is that I want to
add direct register to be chose as an output register for my target. Does it
possible to do with an instruction definition in TARGETInstrInfo.td file?
May be someone could help with an example?
Currently I have seen that we can pass the name

using vif from package "car" - "aliased coefficients in the model"
Hello!
I have run a simple regression - lm and created a regression object "myreg".
I can see all the coefficients when I print(myreg).
Then I tried to run vif(myreg) from the package "car".
However, it's giving me an error: in vif.lm(regr.f) : there are
aliased coefficients in the model
Very sorry for my question: Is there any way to get the vif's for all
predictors?

store list objects in data.table
Well, you may have good reasons to do things this way -- and you
certainly do not have to explain them here.
But you might wish to consider using R's poly() function and a basic
nested list structure to do something quite similar that seems much
simpler to me, anyway:
x <- rnorm(20)
df <- data.frame(x = x, y = x + .1*x^2 + rnorm(20, sd = .2))
result <-
with(df,

Isotopic notation in plots
I really like to use R for all my graphs, and as I work with stable
isotopes I want to have a proper chemical notation in my plots
I have looked at ?plotmath, but didn't find the answer and also searched
the R website.

french map
Hello,
I would like to know if (as the usa map with Splus), it is possible with
R to plot the french map and to add points (representing towns for
instance) on the figure in the appropriate (x,y) system.
Thank you.

Focus problem for shaded windows
Hi,
today, I noticed a problem in focus handling for shaded windows which is
pretty easy to reproduce:
- Disable "Click to focus"
- Shade a window
- Hover another window
- Hover back to the window frame of the shaded window
- Press Ctrl+Alt+S
Expected behaviour would be that the shaded window is unshaded. What
happens is that the last active window is shaded.
I investigated this a

store list objects in data.table
Thanks everyone for their responses.
My data is organized in a data.table.? My goal is to perform analyses
according to some groups.? The results of analysis are objects.? If
these objects could be stored as elements of a data.table, this would
help downstream summarizing of results.
Let me try another example.

Plotting a x axis from a vector with rownames
Hi all,
suppose there is a vector y with rownames:
> y
cond1 cond2 cond3 cond4
78.952 87.308 86.490 74.040
how can I easily plot this vector using the rownames? plot(y) gives me a
plot with a x-axis from 1 to 4 in 0.5 steps, also plot(rownames(y), y)
and plot(y ~ rownames(y) don't work. I know I can build a x-axis with
axis(1, ...), but in this case I need a character string like

Placing a Shaded Box on a Plot
Hello,
I would like to place shaded boxes on different areas of a
phylogenetic tree plot. Since I can not determine how to find axes on
the phylogenetic tree plot I am not able to place the box over certain
areas. Below is example code for the shaded box that I have tried to
use, and the first four values specify the position.

does anyone know how do I plot confidence intervals as a shaded band around a curve, rather than as errors bars?

confidence interval as shaded band (lme)
Hi all,
I?m trying to plot confidence intervals for the fitted values I get with my
lme model in R.
Is there any way I can plot this in the form of a shaded band, like the
output of geom_smooth() in ggplot2 package. ggplot2 seems to use only lm,
glm, gam, loess and rlm as smoothing methods.
Any advice on the functions I should use to accomplish this will be very
helpful.
Thank you very much.

shaded timeseries plot
Dear list members,
I would like to plot a time series, with grayshaded background in time
phases were the value of the timeseries exceeds the mean value. For
example, if the temperature from 1995-1998 exeeds the mean value between
1980 and 2005, the background in the plot from 1995-1998 shall be shaded.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks

Shaded area
Dear R users,
I have an xlsx file (attached to this mail) that shows the values of a
"der" series observed on a daily basis from January 1, 2017 to January 25,
2017. This series is strictly positive during two periods: from January 8,
2017 to January 11, 2017 and from January 16, 2017 to January 20, 2017. I
would like to plot the series with two shaded areas corresponding to the
