Building R for Windows
I have some C code (using an old Borland compiler) that calls a DLL that I'd like to get working from Windows and R (so I can read ABF files -- Axon Binary Files -- directly in R). I thought a good first approach would be able to build R in Windows, so that's what I'm trying to do. [I've done test builds of R under Linux before, and that seemed fairly simple.] I've

array
Hello, I have some files generated from microarray experiments. I used scan() to read the files, and assigned each file to a unique name with many rows and columns. Now I want to create a array (ArrayA) with unique names, and I can use ArrayA[1,2][[6]] to refer the data in each file. Is there any packages available for array of array? Thanks! Signal 11 (cause and workaround found)
I encountered an bug in samba 2.0.7. With the config option "logon home = \\%N\%U\profile" in smb.conf and roaming profiles, smbd panics when the share "%U" is not listed in smb.conf. I had some users for which i forgot to enter the accompanying share in smb.conf. When such a user logged in or logged off, smbd paniced with signal 11. While on logging off the profiles where

An extended Hodgkin-Huxley model that doesn't want to work.
Hi All I have been struggling with this model for some time now and I just can't get it to work correctly. The messages I get when running the code is: DLSODA- Warning..Internal T (=R1) and H (=R2) are such that in the machine, T + H = T on the next step (H = step size). Solver will continue anyway. In above message, R = [1] 0 0 DINTDY- T (=R1) illegal In above message, R = [1]

problems in limma
Dear list members, I am analysing my microarray data using limma package. Now I encounter several problems. Looking forward to your suggestions! Question 1: During the process of background correction using method="normexp", four warning messages appeared as "NaNs produced in: log(x)" (as you can see in the program posted below). What does that mean? How will it effect the

The file was produced by the Dchip software developed by Li and Wong at Harvard's Department of Biostatistics. It contains rows of tab-delimited fields in the order Probe set identifier Probe set description Array 1 expression Array 1 call Array 2 expression

Can't replace a faulty disk of raid1
Hello, I had a raid1 btrfs (540GB) on vanilla 3.6.3, a disk failed, and removed it at power off, plugged in a new one, partitioned it (to 110GB, by error), and added it to btrfs. I tried to remove the missing device, and it said "Input/output error" after a while. Next attempts simply gave "Invalid argument". I repartitioned, rebooted the system, and made the partition grow:
