La_svd compiler error
Dear All, I have been trying to compile a package for windows that we have written. Since R version 3.0.0 the package doesn't compile any more. (On Linux the package compiles without errors). The error specifically says: gcc -m32 -I"C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-30~1.0/include" -DNDEBUG -I"d:/RCompile/CRANpkg/extralibs64/local/include" -O3 -Wall -std=gnu99 -mtune=core2 -c

Fwd: linker issue
Hi, I am trying to compile C++ with R and I am coming up against - what I believe - is a linker configuration issue. For example, using has_develop() gives the following message... > has_devel() "C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-30~1.2/bin/i386/R" --vanilla CMD SHLIB foo.c gcc -m32 -I"C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-30~1.2/include" -DNDEBUG -I"d:/RCompile/CRANpkg/extralibs64/local/include"

dyn.load warning message in R1.6.2 on Windows XP
Hi folks: I used to load a DLL fine up until R 1.5.1. The same DLL dyn.loaded under R 1.6.2 prints the following warning message: > dyn.load("C:/Rajiv/Bin/rpdate.dll") Warning message: DLL attempted to change FPU control word from 8001f to 9001f > Any indication as to what the warning means, and whether I should be concerned about it? The DLL is made from a pure C code,

R package with Fortran module on Windows? undefined reference to `__stack_chk_fail'
Hi, I created a R library that uses a Fortran module. Everything works like a charm on linux. Now I'm trying to make it work on Windows. I cloned my git repository <https://github.com/ignacio82/MyPi> on a windows computer, and when I press the build and reload button on Rstudio I get these errors: ==> Rcmd.exe INSTALL --no-multiarch --with-keep.source MyPi * installing to library

Problems with building R from sources
Hello all, I'm trying to build R 32bit from source in a Windows 64 machine. I have followed the steps in "R Installation and Adiministration" ( http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html#Getting-the-source-files) or at least I think I did everything described. I am not sure if I have installed the libjpeg, libtiff and libpng files though. I have upzipped them in the

How to ensure -O3 on Win64
Hi, Similar questions have come up before on the list and elsewhere but I haven't found a solution yet. winbuilder's install.out shows data.table's .c files compiled with -O3 on Win32 but -O2 on Win64. The same happens on R-Forge. I gather that some packages don't work with -O3 so the default is -O2. I've tried this in data.table's Makevars (entire contents) : ====

Win 64 package build - ERROR: loading failed for 'x64'
I have developed an R package that works under Win32, but when I attempt to build it on Win64, I get ERROR: loading failed for 'x64' More precisely, I developed and tested the package under Win32 and it works. But when I move to a 64 bit Windows 7 (Home Premium) system, and attempt to build both 32 bit and 64 bit packages, the 32 bit package seems to build, but the 64 bit build

I am trying to build a dll writen in C to be called by R. problem with building package on CRAN
Dear friends, I have just gotten a strange error message back from Uwe saying that the most recent version of psych failed to pass R CMD check for Windows. package check fail on Windows-release only?
I mistakenly left a write in "/tmp" in the rockchalk package (version 1.8.109) that I uploaded last Friday. Kurt H wrote and asked me to fix today. While uploading a new one, I became aware of a problem I had not seen. The version I uploaded last Friday, 1.8.109, has OK status on all platforms except r-release-windows-ix86+x86_64. I get OK on oldrel-windows and also on devel-windows.

Using win-builder with static libraries
Dear All, I am intending to build a package (pksmooth) on Linux to work on Windows. Some c++ functions need c++ libraries (numerical recipes) from a static library "libNR.a". Building the package on Linux for Linux is allright. However, when sending the 'pksmooth_1.0.tar.gz' to the online Windows builder (win-builder.r-project.org),the compilation doesn't take into account

Problems with building a private R-package with Fortran source under Windows

R-devel (1.7 to be) on windows XP
Hola! I'm trying to make r-devel on windows XP. I downloaded an hour ago R-1.7.0beta_2003-03-30.tar.gz make terminates without any error messages, with make check I get error messages from tests of internet and socket functions, surely because my modem was not connected (It doesn't say in the documentation (file INSTALL) that internet must be connected under make check.) But the file
