I am getting a rake aborted error and I suspect that I am missing a package on my system since the app works for a friend on this computer. Here is the terminal output of the error: anita@anitas-computer:~/sandbox/shovell$ rake db:migrate (in /home/anita/sandbox/shovell) rake aborted! Video IVR Asterisk ?
Hi Is it possible to receive video calls using Asterisk and then process them as an IVR ? One of our clients wants to set-up a video IVR system in the US and we are evaluation possible options. Also, what is the bandwidth of receiving a video call in US ? What protocols and codecs are supported and does it work on DID numbers ? Can I rent a hosted solution for this ? Thanks in anticipation of

E3 Card on Asterisk ?
Hi Please check out this product http://www.sangoma.com/products/hardware_products/data_networking/a301.html Does it work on Asterisk or Freeswitch ? Do Telcos provide an E3 connection ? One of our customers had an inquiry for terminating 6000 calls simultaneously. I want to do some homework before taking it further with him. If I use E1 lines, I will need 6000 / 30 = 200 E1 lines, which does

MS Internet explorer instead of Gecko
Hello, I have a windows application called Anita (terminal emulation sofware from www.april.se) that runs just fine on Linux with WINE. The problem is that Anita needs to open an HTML page and display a PDF file. It works on Windows - terminal emulation software displays the PDF file without any problems but it doesn't work on linux. It displays a blank page. My guess is because on Windows

The card is here http://www.sangoma.com/products/hardware_products/digital_voice_and_data_networking/a108.html And we want to use 3 such cards in this motherboard because it has 3 PCIe slots of version 2.0 http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/DX58SO/DX58SO-overview.htm Is this a good idea ? Do you have any experience

Synway cards
Hi Does anyone have experience with Synway cards like SHD-240D-CT/PCI with asterisk and SynAst driver ? Are they any good ? Do they really run on Asterisk ? Thanks. Using nlm or optim
Hello, I am trying to use nlm to estimate the parameters that minimize the following function: Predict<-function(M,c,z){ + v = c*M^z + return(v) + } M is a variable and c and z are parameters to be estimated. I then write the negative loglikelihood function assuming normal errors: nll<-function(M,V,c,z,s){ n<-length(Mean) logl<- -.5*n*log(2*pi) -.5*n*log(s) -

Re: Problem with Blackfin assembly optimizations -- bug in fixed_bfin.h / resampler saturation???
Hi, when I compile with FIXED_DEBUG enabled, I get an error -- both when make tries to build testenc.o and when I try to link my app against the speex lib: lorenz@panelmaker:~/Blackfin/tests/speex_loopthrough$ make bfin-uclinux-gcc -c -g -I/home/lorenz/include -o main.o main.c bfin-uclinux-gcc -gl -elf2flt -L/home/lorenz/lib -o speex_through main.o -lspeex_debug -lspeexdsp -lm

Symbols for male/female
Dear all, I would like to use the biological symbols for male and female as plotting symbols in a scatterplot (ideally filled and non-filled). R does not seem to have these symbols using pch= in plot() nor are they implemented via expression() or at least I did not find them. I found that the symbols are e.g. available in the wasysym and the marvosym package in LaTeX. I have coded two very rough

Re: Problem with Blackfin assembly optimizations -- bug in fixed_bfin.h / resampler saturation???
Hi Jean-Marc, after some problems with getting svn to work here I finally made it. Problem is, you write that I cannot use libspeex and libspeexdsp at the same time now -- because I use a "live" system (mic-in -> speex_enc -> speex_dec -> headphone out) and I can run the AD1836 audio codec on 48 kHz only, I cannot use my program now (because I use speex resampling...) So I

Problem with Blackfin assembly optimizations -- bug in fixed_bfin.h / resampler saturation???
Jean-Marc, Frank, I have stumbled across a similar situation regarding optimization. I seem to have a similar setup as Frank does with a fixed 48khz in and out. The wideband mode and ultra-wideband modes are really what I?m looking for. I have a test application that reads audio, downsample to 16kHz (or 32kHz), speex encode, speex decode, upsample back to 48kHz, and playback. If I remove

Nested ANOVA with covariate using Type III sums of squares
Hello, I have been trying to get an ANOVA table for a linear model containing a single nested factor, two fixed factors and a covariate: carbonmean<-lm(C.Mean~ Mean.richness + Diversity + Zoop + Diversity/Phyto + Zoop*Diversity/Phyto) where, *Mean.richness* is a covariate*, Zoop* is a categorical variable (the species), *Diversity* is a categorical variable (Low or High), and

Execute a function
Hi, I would like to evaluate a function, with 3 arguments, for instance, myfunc<-function(a,b,c) { sqrt(a)-exp(b)+4*c } How to execute myfunc(x,y,z), for all x, all y and all z, where x,y,z are vectors? avoiding (another) error
Dear all, Many thanks to all who always so quickly respond with helpful hints! Currently I am working with R 0.63.1 on SuSE 5.2 which I installed this morning within about half an hour: my deepest compliments to the developpers! (I had still 0.62.2 before.) This time I am trying the following: > xy <- list (a= c (1, 2, NA), b= c (2, 3)) > list.name <- "xy" > get

rsync filter rules ignored by rsnapshot
Hello guys, sorry for cross-posting, but imho it could be an error in my rsnapshot setup as well as in my rsync setup. If there is a solution on one of these mailing-lists i will post it to the other one as well. ok? here is my question: when running rsnapshot, my exclude filter is being ignored, but i don't see why. grep -v "#" /etc/rsnapshot-debx40.conf | grep . gives
