Error when using plot in diag.panel argument of pairs
Dear Madame or Sir,I am having a problem in combining density-smoothed scatterplot matrices with a plot of kernel destiny estimations of each dimension plotted on the respective field of the diagonal.I have tried following approach using the package "sm" for the kernel density estimation, as well as "MASS" respectively:pairs(myTable[, 1:4],panel=function(x,y, ...){

R-gui
I discover last week the R software statistics programm, I have a small
questions, When we generate a bivariate normal distribution is it
possible to plot the generate distribution.
The second one if there is a code to generate a bivariate student
distribution.
If yes i would ask you gratefully a help.
Thank you very much

any plot ?
Dear R-ers:
I'm sorry to disturb you, I want just ask if R can plot a given
complicated density function. I mean if we have the expression of the
density en we want to see how it's look like? and this is a density
with two variables thus it's a 3D plot
Thank you very much

T-Distribution
Dear sir,
I would ask if there are in R some code to generate a random sample
from a mvariate student distribution like that one wich generate the
multivariate normal one i mean( rmvnorm(n, mu, sigma)
Second question : if R can plot density 3Dcurve I don't mean de
histogram but de hole density function(normal for example).
I use a windows version of The R software
Thank you in advance

Comparing pooled proportions(complication and reoperation rates) of different treatment modalities
Probably the wrong list. R-help is concerned with R programming, not
statistics methodology questions, although the intersection can be
nonempty.
I suggest you post on stats.stackexchange.com instead, which *is*
concerned with statistics methodology questions.
Cheers,

How to obtain the coefficients from a summary of aov ?
Dear Madame, Dear Sir,
I am able to obtain the coefficients from a 'summary' of 'lm', but NOT from a 'summary' of 'aov'.
The following example shows my steps.
## Initialize
rm(list = ls()) # remove (almost) everything in the working environment
utils::data(npk, package="MASS") # get data
model <- yield ~ block + N*P*K
## Using lm
npk.lm <-

error with bbox for k12hat (splancs) bivarite k-function
Hello,
I am trying to conduct a bi-variate ripley's k using the k12hat function in
the splancs package (found here
http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/splancs/html/k12hat.html). Although, I
receive an error when getting to the bboxx part of the code:
poly <- list(x=c(fire4$X, nar4$X), y=c(fire4$Y, nar4$Y))
plot(seq(5,80,5), sqrt(k12hat(fire4), as.points(nar4),

Comparing pooled proportions(complication and reoperation rates) of different treatment modalities
Dear sir/madame,
I am currently writing a meta-analysis on the complication and reoperation rates of 5 different treatment modalities after a distal radius fracture. I was able to pool the rates of the 5 different rates using R. Now I have to compare the pooled rates of the 4 treatment modalities with the golden standard separately. I though the chi squared test would be the best method. How do

color specific(!) lines in different color with in parcoord plots
Dear Madame or Sir,
in my current project, I have so far used a lot of very different plots. I am now trying to gain informatin with the help of parallel coordinate plots. Therefore, I use the function "parcoord" of the MASS package. What I would like to do, is to color let's say the points according to the first half of rows of a specific matrix/dataframe in a color different from

R Error : DATA to MATRIX
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm getting a problem with a R-code which converts a data frame to a matrix.
It first generate a (m^(n-m) * m) matrix A and then regenerate another
matrix B having less dimension than A which satisfy some condition. Now I
wish to assign each row of B to a vector as individual.
My problem is when I set any choice of (n,m) except m=1 it works fine but
setting m=1 I got the

Efficient Package for Huge datasets in R
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have a large data set of 10,17,289 observations of 10,830 variables. I
need to use PCA to reduce the dimension of dataset. I have already tried
irlba, prcomp and nsprcomp packages in R but couldn't do for huge data
sets.
i.e pc <- prcomp_irlba(sparseYY[1:5000,], n=50, retx = TRUE, center = TRUE,
scale. = FALSE)
able to get only few PCs for 5000 rows only
so can you
