Help with Windows build
I'm trying to do a Windows build of Ray Brownrigg's port of the maps
library, and running into some problems.
There's a makefile for the shared library. I suspect that I just need
to change that to get it right, and everything will build properly,
but I'm running into trouble. Here's the original makefile, along
with my comments about changes:
>SRC= mapget.c mapproject.c

R maps now for Windows
The original S maps package, previously only available in R on Unix
systems is now available in R for Windows.
maps_2.0-2 and mapdata_2.0-2 (see below) in both source and Windows
binary form (for rw1071) have been uploaded to CRAN, hopefully soon to
appear.
The key aspect of this package which differentiates it from other
GIS related R packages under development is that it is standalone

I installed the maps and mapdata libraries on my R-1.8.0 on

trouble with maps
Has anyone else seen this behavior from the "maps" package?
map('state', fill=TRUE)
results in a lively mix of overlapping polygons inside a
map of the US, but they have no obvious relationship to
state boundaries. (See attached jpeg.)

I reinstalled the maps and mapdata packages from

Is it possible to use Stasis to control both legs of a Local channel created using ARI?
I understand how to control the first local channel, but an having trouble getting the second local channel to enter stasis.
I setup have the following extensions.conf to handle 1000 (basically had it setup so if first stasis not there try second, but believe second channel never processes the dial plan so even if second line was hello-world2 it would not matter.

Maps in R
Is there a way to generate maps in R. Specifically, I have calculated
estimates of intra-regional inequality for US states, and would like to
project that information onto a map.
Thanks,

SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
So that it doesn't end without a conclusion I will inform you what has been
accomplished.
As our time was short to complete the migration I decided to install the
same version of SAMBA that was already running on the old machine (3.6.6).
After the migration is complete, I will have more time to update the SAMBA
and insert it into our AD domain, thus changing the entire login and
mapping

SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
Hello people.
I have a new problem with my system.
I am required to list the valid users both in the smb.conf file and in the
computer management of the linux server.
How do I have only one configuration point where I can include the users
that I want to have access to SAMBA shares?

-R tunnels
After a connection issue, sometimes I get "Warning: remote port
forwarding failed for listen port" when trying to establish -R
tunnels, and that is because sshd didn't clear the port binding when
the connection droped.
Restarting sshd on the server *doesn't* clear this issue, the port
remains binded. ?Shouldn't a sshd restart solve this?
Also wouldn't it be reasonable to

SAMBA using existing users and passwords on Linux
I apologize for forgetting to pass on all the information.
In fact, this problem is occurring because of the migration from a VM with
Oracle SunOS to another VM with Oracle Linux 7.
This old VM is for production and runs the CACH? database, so we decided to
create a new VM and migrate everything to it.
We have already migrated the database and users without problems.
Only on each machine of these

UDP in flash
Flash does support interactive audio/video, not only streaming. And there is a new protocol called RTMFP in flash 10, which is on top of UDP. For voice application, see Connect Now (www.acrobat.com)
