Is this a bug of pweibull()?
In rw1050, I found that

It seems to me that pweibull can be improved in the lower_tail=TRUE and
log_p=FALSE
case by using expm1. Something like

Catching NaNs from pweibull()
Hello,
I am working with the nls() function and inserting a formula into it that
uses the pweibull function. However the pweibull function is annoyingly
producing NaNs, which nls() refuses to handle. I have put a sample of the
code below. Is there a way to prevent these NaNs from interfering, for
example a method to catch them? I get the following error when I try to run
the code:

Installing a Package in Windows 2000
I'm using R 1.4.1 under Windows 2000 and am experiencing difficulty
installing a package. I've included an example output using Rcmd build,
but the same problem occurs with Rcmd check and Rcmd INSTALL. The error
(make[1]: /bin/sh.exe: Command not found) is not a new one - it's
referenced in readme.packages among other locations. I've placed a copy
of sh.exe in C:\bin, but it

1.4.1 R CMD check broken?
I am not sure if this is already known. I checked BUGS and found some
references to similar behavior when R_HOME is set?
Here is what I get:
(1) Fresh build of 1.4.1 under Linux/RH-7.2. All tests pass.

Rgui crashes
My Rgui crashes quite a lot when entering certain characters. I put a
freshly extracted msvcrt.dll into the rw1050\bin directory, but this did not
fix the problem. Perhaps, as stated in the FAQ section, I need also "put the
rw1050\bin directory early in your path" but I do not know how to do it in
Windows Me. Please could you give me some help?

distribution functions and lists
Hello everyone,
I have a quick question but I am stuck with it and I do not know how to solve it.
Imagine I need the distribution function of a Weibull(1,1) at t=3, then I will write pweibull(3,1,1).
I want to keep the shape and scale parameters in a list (or a vector or whatever). Then I have
parameters<-list(shape=1,scale=1)
but when I write pweibull(3,parameters) I get the following

can't get rcmd to work on windows2k....
I'm trying to make sure my R package will install properly (build help
files, etc) and when I try to run the rcmd check (or any rcmd option) I get
the following error. Does dcf.pm stand for perl module? If not, why do I get
this message?

R does not compile any more on FreeBSD 8.0-CURRENT
On a recent FreeBSD 8.0-CURRENT (i386) building R (any version) breaks

Loading tcltk package fails on WinMe/Cygwin but works with Rgui
I am investigating how well R/tcltk is supported on different system and I
ran into the same problem as Christian Schulz reported on February 7, 2002.
I am using [R] v1.4.1 on WinMe and ActiveTcl 8.3.2. Loading tcltk within
Rgui works just fine and both demo(tkdensity) and demo(tkttest) works as
expected. However, when I start R from my Cygwin terminal dyn.load() fails
to load the library:

Library Tcltk
Dears users,

slower execution in R 1.9.0
I have an R function (about 1000 lines long) that takes more than 20
times as long to run under R Windows 1.9.0 and 1.8.1 than it does under
1.7.1. Profile results indicate that the $<-.data.frame operation is
the culprit, but I don't understand exactly what that is (assignment of
data frame elements to another variable?), or why it's only a problem
under 1.8.1 and 1.9.0. Any advice?

demo(graphics) problem under rw1041 (PR#1307)
I just downloaded rw1041 (the latest windows binary). Everything installed
fine.
When I start a new Rgui, and type "demo(graphics)", after pressing
return to start, a graphics window appears. When I get to the second
prompt:
