Poor performance on open/copy/close/rename file operations via remote/VPN connection
Hello, I have Samba version 3.0.24 running on a 2.6.14-gentoo-r5 x86 kernel (xeon 3ghz, 1gb ram raid 5). All clients accessing samba shares via LAN have no problems. Samba server works perfectly and fast. We are instead experiencing serious performance issues when accessing samba shares from remote clients (WAN), via VPN. Simple operations like "open a file", "copy & paste a

Confidence intervals for the Instrumental Variable estimators of TWO causal effects
Dear all, I am using the Instrumental Variable approach to estimate the causal effects of TWO endogenous variables in a Mendelian Randomization study. As long as point estimation is concerned, I have no problem: both "ivreg" in library "AER" and "tsls" in library "sem" do the job perfectly. The problems begin when I try to obtain confidence intervals for

Authentication problems with mysql 5
Hello, this is my first post here, so hi to all! I've just configured a new Suse Linux 10.1 distribution that comes with: - postfix 2.2.9 + mysql tables - dovecot 1.0.beta3 - mysql 5.0.18 - kernel 2.6.16.13-4-bigsmp i386 on a Intel Xeon 2.0Ghz with 3Gb RAM I've also added postfixadmin 2.1.0 to build an IMAP server with virtual users/virtual hosts management, and ran the script

DCE in the presence of control flow.
I think you can also avoid the RDF computation using a more directed form of control dependence testing such as described in Keshav Pingali and Gianfranco Bilardi. 1997. Optimal control dependence computation and the Roman chariots problem. ACM Trans. Program. Lang. Syst. 19, 3 (May 1997), 462-491. DOI=http://dx.doi.org/10.1145/256167.256217 However one challenge seems to be fixing the SSA graph

I had assumed you would treat phi nodes differently from other operations in that they don’t need to keep the block alive just to retain the data flow facts but it would be simplest to do that. DCE in the presence of control flow.
In practice, APT is not faster to build than rdf. The df calculator we use is linear time and quite fast. Updating is also pretty trivial since it's only deletes of dead and unreachable code. So anything it reached can be replaced with undef in most cases. Cd-dce is not slower in GCC than dce On Fri, Jan 29, 2016, 8:31 PM David Callahan <dcallahan at fb.com> wrote: > I think you

Maybe I was too quick here. Does gcc record the incoming edge to a phi? If so, won’t those change when you delete blocks in a non-trivial manner? How are those updated? PDC problems ....
I've got a big problem with my PDC (Mandrake 8.2 with samba 2.2.5): when I try to join the domain from a W2KPRO (sp3) workstation the procedure goes on well until it require to create a local account for a Domain user ... the system let me browse all the user account on the domain controller but when I try to add it reports this error: "The trust relationship between this workstation and
