dyn.load
Hello,
I have a probleme with the dynamic loading. I make
two librairies "myfct.so" and "otherfct.so", where
"myfct.so" is calling functions of "otherfct.so",
and I want dyn.load() each of it, without generating
a unique librarie. For exemple :
myfct.c :
void myfct(double *x, double *y)
{
otherfct(x);
*y=(*x)+1.0;
}
myoth.c :
void otherfct( double *x

Win 64 package build - ERROR: loading failed for 'x64'
I have developed an R package that works under Win32, but when I attempt to build it on Win64,
I get ERROR: loading failed for 'x64'
More precisely, I developed and tested the package under Win32 and it works. But when I move
to a 64 bit Windows 7 (Home Premium) system, and attempt to build both 32 bit and 64 bit packages,
the 32 bit package seems to build, but the 64 bit build

R-alpha: "invisible" (yet again): a more problematic bug[let]
I think this is a more problematic buglet
in (implicit/explicit) ``invisible behavior'').
Try this (all versions of R from 0.49 to 0.60):
test0 <- function() c(1,2)
test <- function(two = FALSE) c(1, if(two) 2)
testR <- function(two = FALSE) return(c(1, if(two) 2))
test0()# 1 2 as it should

Nothing happened when I using t.test throuth RSPerl
Hi,
I've just started using RSPerl. Though also tests in directory "/usr/local/lib/R/library/RSPerl/tests/" are passed successfully, I meet the problem with the following codes;

use RReferences;

Cannot call R's ISNAN() from a C code in >1.7 versions.
Dear R users,
Have you experienced any difficulty in calling R's ISNAN() from a C
code? I have C codes including ISNAN() calls and they worked well until
I upgraded my R from 1.7 to later versions. When I tried to compile the
codes in the version 1.8 and 1.9, I got error messages like this:
test.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _isnan
.\testR.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 1

Repeated use of dyn.load().
Good question Rolf.
Rui, thanks for pointing out dyn.unload.
When I started using Rcpp a couple of years ago I got burned by stale .so
enough times that I adopted a policy of recompile-then-start new R session.
My workflow does not include Rolf's "brazillion" repeats, so the overhead
of this approach has not been too painful.

Repeated use of dyn.load().
I am working with a function "foo" that explicitly dynamically loads a
shared object library or "DLL", doing something like dyn.load("bar.so").
This is a debugging exercise so I make changes to the underlying
Fortran code (yes, I acknowledge that I am a dinosaur) remake the DLL
"bar.so" and then run foo again. This is all *without* quitting and

Repeated use of dyn.load().
Hello,
In such cases, with C code, I call dyn.unload before loading the
modified shared lib again.
I don't know if this changed recently, but it used to be needed or else
R wouldn't load the new lib. When I call dyn.unload followed by dyn.load
I never had problems.
(Or the other way around, call dyn.unload before modifying the C code.)
Hope this helps,

Reloading a shared library with dyn.load
Hi,
I'm using dyn.load to load a shared library (compiled from C
code) into R. If I dyn.unload it and then dyn.load it again, I
get an hourglass icon in Rgui (R 1.7.0, Win 2000), and it
just sits there forever. I can't press Escape to stop the
current computation, but I can close Rgui without resorting to
using the Task Manager.
Is it a problem with my use of R_alloc? Do I need

dyn.load warning message in R1.6.2 on Windows XP
Hi folks:
I used to load a DLL fine up until R 1.5.1. The same DLL dyn.loaded under R
1.6.2 prints the following warning message:
> dyn.load("C:/Rajiv/Bin/rpdate.dll")
Warning message:
DLL attempted to change FPU control word from 8001f to 9001f

Any indication as to what the warning means, and whether I should be
concerned about it? The DLL is made from a pure C code,

(g)lm ordinal or scaled values?
There is a difference in the p- value from 0.000 and 0.012 when I am
using SPSS.
0.000 when I am using the independent variable as scaled 0.012 if I am
using the variable as ordinal.
The independent variable is ordinal but it seems that R is using the
variable as an scaled, because the P- Value is computed with 4.66e-06
so I am not sure which description I am misunderstanding:

Small program embedding R crashes in 64 bits
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a small C++ program which embed R, but I'm having
problems when I try to do it on Windows 64 bits. I have created a
minimal reproducible example which is just the
src/gnuwin32/front-ends/rtest.c file with the R_ReplDLLdo1() loop, the
only difference is that I set the interactive mode to TRUE. Here is
the cpp file:

dyn.load inside a package in R >= 3.0
Hello,
I am trying to port a package that was built for R 2.15 over to R 3.0. This package has an Initialize method that uses dyn.load to load a dll that was built separately, and then uses .C() to make calls on the functions in that dll. This worked fine in 2.15, however, I see that now for 3.0 .C() will only search in the namespace of your current package. This seems to make it impossible to use

Hi!
I am studying C language to run with R 2.0.0. My system (Windows ME /BR) is configured to run RCMD ( I have installed ActivePerl, Rtools and MinGW as indicated in http://www.murdoch-sutherland.com/Rtools/ an with correct path).
I would like run the coded write below named conv.c (Example from "Write R Extension") :
