Patch cleaning up Opus x86 intrinsics configury
The attached patch cleans up Opus's x86 intrinsics configury.
It:
* Makes ?enable-intrinsics work with clang and other non-GCC compilers
* Enables RTCD for the floating-point-mode SSE code in Celt.
* Disables use of RTCD in cases where the compiler targets an instruction set by default.
* Enables the SSE4.1 Silk optimizations that apply to the common parts of Silk when Opus is built in

AVX Optimizations
Yes,
Thank you. I'll follow up with the AVX code and tests for pitch code.

[RFC PATCH v1 0/4] Enable aarch64 intrinsics/Ne10
Hi All,
Since I continue to base my work on top of Jonathan's patch,
and my previous Ne10 fft/ifft/mdct_forward/backward patches,
I thought it would be better to just post all new patches
as a patch series. Please let me know if anyone disagrees
with this approach.
You can see wip branch of all latest patches at

[RFC PATCH v1 0/5] aarch64: celt_pitch_xcorr: Fixed point series
Hi Timothy,
As I mentioned earlier [1], I now fixed compile issues
with fixed point and resubmitting the patch.
I also have new patch that does intrinsics optimizations
for celt_pitch_xcorr targetting aarch64.
You can find my latest work-in-progress branch at [2]
For reference, you can use the Ne10 pre-built libraries
at [3]
Note that I am working with Phil at ARM to get my patch at [4]

[newbie] aggregating table() results and simplifying code with loop
Dear all,
I'm looking for primary help at aggregating table() results and at
writing a loop (if useful)
My dataset ( http://goo.gl/gEPKW ) is composed of 23k rows, each one
representing a point in the space of which we know the land cover over
10 years (column y01 to y10).
I need to analyse it with a temporal sliding window of 5 years (y01 to
y05, y02 to y06 and so forth)
For each period

Hi All,
As per Timothy's suggestion, disabling mdct_forward
for fixed point. Only effects
armv7,armv8: Extend fixed fft NE10 optimizations to mdct
Rest of patches are same as in [1]
For reference, latest wip code for opus is at [2]
Still working with NE10 team at ARM to get corner cases of
mdct_forward. Will update with another patch
when issue in NE10 gets fixed.
Regards,
Vish

[RFC V3 0/8] Ne10 fft fixed and previous
Hi All,
Changes from RFC v2 [1]
armv7,armv8: Extend fixed fft NE10 optimizations to mdct
- Overflow issue fixed by Phil at ARM. Ne10 wip at [2]. Should be upstream soon.
- So, re-enabled using fixed fft for mdct_forward which was disabled in RFCv2
armv7,armv8: Optimize fixed point fft using NE10 library
- Thanks to Jonathan Lennox, fixed some build fixes on iOS and some copy-paste errors

[RFC PATCH v1 0/8] Ne10 fft fixed and previous
Hello Timothy / Jean-Marc / opus-dev,
This patch series is follow up on work I posted on [1].
In addition to what was posted on [1], this patch series mainly
integrates Fixed point FFT implementations in NE10 library into opus.
You can view my opus wip code at [2].
Note that while I found some issues both with the NE10 library(fixed fft)
and with Linaro toolchain (armv8 intrinsics), the work

Fitting a curve to to an oscillating scatter . .
Hi all,
I have just got going with R and think it is really nice however, as far as
I can see, it can't do what I got it for:
I have some output from a computer simulation of mutating genes represented
by a biological statistic - so the graph looks roughly like the top of:
x = y^2
- with oscillations around the general curve.
If I use scatter.smooth() I get a nice curve representing

Windows / RODBC / Accented characters
A disturbing behaviour of R: an import of data using RODBC library
(Windows 98, R 1.1.1) recognizes accented characters in variables
names but these can't be manipulated further. See below:

RODBC connection failed
I am trying to restart on R after 2 months stop. Start with previously
functioning procedure:
"ch<-odbcConnect("dBase Files")"
get
"Warning message:
ODBC connection failed in: odbcConnect("dBase Files") "
I have tried unsuccessfully different working directories.
The only change I see is that I am working with a new login account on
the same machine.

Memory management
Some naive questions:
1) How to remove a column in a data frame? I expected that rm would
work but this is not the case (e.g. rm(dat$yyy) gives Warning
message: remove: variable dat$yyy was not found). I only found to
assign NULL value (e.g.: dat$yyy<-NULL). Is it the right way?
2) Is the place formerly occupied by dat$yyy automatically gained by
R for other uses?
3) If t1 and t2 are 2 only

transforming table into data frame
Hello,
I would like to transform a contingency table (A x B) into a data
frame while keeping the cross-tabulation structure (i.e. rows =
levels of A, columns = levels of B). I have tried as.data.frame,
xtabs, etc... and always got a "flattened" list of 3 variables (A, B,
Freq).
How to do that?
Thanks in advance

Multiv / hierclust / plclust
I use hierclust (hierarchical clustering) in multiv package. In the
documentation it is said that plclust (plotting a dendrogram) is
available in S-plus. Can I find it anywhere (I have searched through
http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/S and found only quotations of plclust in
multiv) or is it only part of the S package (which I don't have)?
Thanks

plot history, libraries, weights
3 general questions:
1) How can I have the plot History Recording automatically turned on
each time I start R (Windows)?
2) How can I have some libraries automatically loaded at R start?
3) As far as I know weights can be specified only for lm. How can I
take account of weights with a weighted sample in other models or
functions (table but also other multivariate and cluster techniques)?
Thanks

QuestÃon regarding the use of write.csv2, write.table ...
Hi all,
I use "write.csv" and "write.table" to write a data frame in a file like
following:
write.csv2(allRandomTestCase_XDroped, "allRandomTestCase.csv")
But in the created file "allRandomTestCase.csv" an additional column with
consecutive numbers is automatically added to the column of the data frame
"allRandomTestCase_XDroped".
That is why my
