error message from regsubsets
Hi, I'm using regsubsets and it works fine when nvmax = 4. However when I go for any value above 4, I get the error: Warning message: XHAUST returned error code -999 in: leaps.exhaustive(a, really.big = really.big) I'm calling regsubsets as: lp <- regsubsets(x,y,nbest=1,nvmax=5,intercept=T,really.big=T, method="exhaustive") x is a data.frame with 40 variables and 277

ggplot cumsum refined question (?)
OK, so maybe last night was a little too much at one throw, so I have reduced the data to two stations- one that has precipitation and one that does not. This is going to be in the context of a larger data set. I would like to be able to issue a ggplot command and have cum sum just act on the facets (factors) to apply this. library(chron) library(ggplot2) DF <- structure(list(date_time =

'sep' argument in reshape()
I wonder if the 'sep' argument in reshape() is being ignored unintentionally: ## From example(reshape) df <- data.frame(id=rep(1:4,rep(2,4)), visit=I(rep(c("Before","After"),4)), x=rnorm(4), y=runif(4)) reshape(df, timevar="visit", idvar="id", direction="wide", sep = "_") id x.Before

Scale parameter in Weibull distribution
Hi all, I'm trying to generate a Weibull distribution including four covariates in the model. Here is the code I used: T = rweibull(200, shape=1.3, scale=0.004*exp(-(-2.5*b1+2.5*b2+0.9*x1-1.3*x2)/1.3)) C = rweibull(n, shape=1.5, scale=0.008) #censoring time time = pmin(T,C) #observed time is min of censored and true event = time==T # set to 1 if event is observed

openssh 4.2p1 "getnameinfo failed" port > 999
Dear Openssh Team, I am using openssh 4.2p1 on SuSE 10.2. When ever I run sshd with a port greater than 999 I receive an error on start of sshd of "error: getnameinfo failed". SSHD does seem to run properly it just throws the error. Is there a work-around for this problem or do I just ignore it? Thanks in advance! Paul

Cannot unmount status -999
Hi, I'm running ocfs-2.4.9-e-smp-1.0.9-9 on RH Advanced Server 2.1 with kernel 2.4.9-e.27smp. Oracle Rack is installed and filesystems are shared between two servers. When any of the two machines is rebooted on the console error messages are displayed about unmounting OCFS filesystems. The message is like "ERROR Cannot unmount status -999" and repeats for each OCFS file system.

So far the only problem I've encountered is that my arrow keys no longer scroll through my command history, but give ^[OA and ^[OB instead. Left and right arrow navigation within a line is also broken. I checked
