OS: Solaris 2.5.1
Submission from: (NULL) (129.217.131.31)
I try to compile R on my Sparc 4 (Solaris 2.5.1) but the compilation fails. I
tried
the developer-version and the contributed 0.64.1-Version.
I start configure with the --g77-Option. During the compilation it stops with an
error, which says that the R/src/library/modreg/src/bsplvd.f

I tried to install the package "leap" on our Sun Enterprise 400 running Solaris

but it fails: cause the g77 doesn't compiles the fortran-sources properly, I
translated them with f2c to c-source.
Running R INSTALL produces the following message:

Simulation of Timeseries
Hello,
I try to simulate an ARMA-model using R, but I didn't find any function
to generate such timeseries.
In Splus there is the function arima.sim which generates AR-, MA- and
ARIMA-series. Is there any similar in R?
Best regards,
Frank Beimfohr

Excuse me, if the following is FAQ or nonsense, I'm new to R (and the

After trying to import a textfile of 184897 Bytes, R (v0.63.0 on Linux

awk/gawk
A quickie question: Could someone tell me why, on RELENG_4, we have a
gawk(1) manpage but no gawk executable? Given the manpage links, and
the fact that our system awk is really built from gawk sources, I'd
expect to have a link from /usr/bin/gawk to /usr/bin/awk (or vice
versa).
Thanks,
Bruce.

Making libraries on gnuwin32 R-0.63.0
I have put at
http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/R/win32/makehelp.zip
a file with instructions and the tools I used to make help for libraries
for Guido's gnuwin32 version of R-0.63.0. There are also instructions for
making libraries without remaking R itself.

Answering the nTh call ...
Curious to know if anyone's created something similar to the following,
if so and you'd care to share an AGI or dialplan, much appreciated.
I will be eventually write a script to answer the nTH call. (if I can't
find it (why reinvent wheels).
Looking to do some testing sending anywhere between 50-200 calls to a
machine. I'd like a Snom/Polycom/whatever to pick up after the nTh

Dear R-helpers: (this is part of a bigger program)
the following fails as a function, but runs OK
if we comment out the fnfn_ function() line.
Any hint would be appreciated. -Yudi-
