Usage of puppet to deploy and configuration manage software patches
I have some questions in terms of how to use puppet of configuration
management for software patches. My previous approach was it to create a
puppet module for each patch ... Like Patch1 includes (FileA, FileB,
FileC), Patch2 includes (FileD, FileE)... So far so good and that works but
now i have to create a Patch3 with lets say FileF and FileA included. As
you can see there will be a puppet

[RFC] MC support for variant scheduling classes.
Hi all,
The goal of this RFC is to make information related to variant scheduling
classes accessible at MC level. This would help tools like llvm-mca
understand/resolve variant scheduling classes.
To achieve this goal, I plan to introduce a new class of scheduling
predicates
named MCSchedPredicate. An MCSchedPredicate allows the definition of boolean
expressions with a well-known semantic, that

Thanks. I hope that this code will help to avoid "bug" reports
such as http://sourceforge.net/p/flac/bugs/409/ (it seems that
the author of this report compiled FLAC without --enable-sse option).
OTOH, SSE support is

62.1 make problems
I'm just trying to install 62.1 under Solaris. Making the program reports no
errors, but when I try to run R I get
ld.so.1: /home/res8/gilp/R-versions/R-0.62.1/bin/R.binary: fatal: libF77.so.2:
can't open file: errno=2
Is there any standard place where I should be looking to find libF77?
When make moves on to building the documents I get the errors below. (Is this
because configure did

[LLVMdev] list-td scheduler asserts on targets with implicitly defined registers
Hi,
I just switched to the 2.5 release branch and noticed that llc runs into the following assert in ScheduleDAGList::ScheduleNodeTopDown() using our custom backend:
assert(!I->isAssignedRegDep() &&
"The list-td scheduler doesn't yet support physreg dependencies!");
It turns out that the register dependency concerns the condition code register which is

Problem loading hdf5 file
*Hi everyone, I am a new subscriber, so I hope I'm posting in the right way.
I need to load a hdf5 file, so I installed the hdf5 libraries ad the hdf5 R

could correctly load it. But when I try to load my file:

require(hdf5)
rm(list=ls())
ls()

Dovecot - some more optimisations
I did some more optimisation.
Most performance hit in Dovecot do "for loop" in string operations.
In one case (in message-parser.c) "for loop" has another "for" inside
with the same variable used as iterator. This case is very hard to
optimise by compiler.
I do changes only in top functions listed in oprofile.
Maybe I do more in future.
Code was analysed and

R-beta: Pictex and R
Dear R-users
It is me again with my interminables questions...
This time it is about "pictex". I understood that
pictex allows us to put our graph in a latex file
I have try the function:
> pictex (file=...)
and the answer was: "pictex" not found...
Does it mean that it is not an R-function yet?
Thank you for any feedback.

build process patches
Here's an updated set of patches to fix some problems with the build
process. These patches are relevant to the CVS head as of 30 Dec 2000.
Overview:
- Patch 1: Allowing the user to set CFLAGS/LDFLAGS before running
configure in all four modules. All these patches do is essentially:
cflags_save="$CFLAGS"
ldflags_save="$LDFLAGS"
# ... stuff to
