Hi All,
I'm playing with KVM in order to adopt the technology for dev /
testing purposes. Installing RHEL5 from ISO images works ok, no
problems with installation.
The problem occurs with PXE boot - it is simply doesn't try to do PXE
boot, according to what I can see:
Booting from Hard Disk...
Boot from Hard Disk failed: not a bootable disk
FATAL: No bootable device.

http://www.lfarkas.org/linux/packages/centos/5/x86_64/virt/
http://www.lfarkas.org/linux/packages/centos/5/i386/virt/
the changes i follow fedora package naming so there is no kvm packages

and qemu package to the stable branch (although the old kvm-xx and

everything seems to hang, but system is idle?
Hi All,
My one server recently started acting very weird. At fist I couldn't
import any images with cobbler as rsync crashes the whole time. I was
told to ask on the cobbler list (maybe it's not supported here?) but I
left it at that (subscribed to far too many lists already).
Yesteday I wanted to copy some stuff from a USB disk to the server

Xen 4.0 with Remus on Suse 10.1??
Hello,
I am trying to set up a Xen/Remus test configuration on AMD64 hardware
(HP DL380 G6) under SuSE 10.1 and am having trouble.
I was able to run and configure the Xen 3 that came with SuSE fine, but
as far as I can see, I have to use Xen 4 to get Remus.
I managed to build Xen 4 from source and it seemed to install, but I am
not sure how to get the proper kernel and/or initrd files in place

FYI - pci_mmcfg_init kernel error after upgrading to 5.6
Just thought I'd pass along an error I received this weekend after
upgrading two servers to 5.6. Both are HP Proliant DL380 servers
running 64-bit, but one is a G6 model and one is a G7. After the
upgrade and the reboot to the 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 kernel, both servers
displayed the following error at boot:
"pci_mmcfg_init marking 256MB space uncacheable."

Samba 4.1.7 Compile on NetBSD/amd64 - 6.1.4
I have a brand new NetBSD machine I am building to replace an existing one
that is retiring. The current server runs an old version of Samba and I
would like to upgrade this machine to something newer. The machine has basic
NetBSD on it and that is about it (ie. very little if any customization to
the out of the box configuration).
I know NetBSD is probably not a mainstream platform for your

memdisk etherboot integration
Folks:
I've used etherboot to create a zrom that successfully brings a image of a
bootable floppy into high memory. What I'd like to do is glue memdisk in so
that it can hook int13 and serve the transferred image for booting when
etherboot hands control back to the BIOS.
The trick, and this is where I'd appreciate "gotchas", pointers or "this is an

stably updating the SD
Hi,
I have some summary data from which I know a few points and I'd like
to remove them. Does anyone know if there is an R module that
implements something like Hanson (1975)?
