Hello I was just asked what the logo means and I had to admit that I really had no idea, as it was chosen way before my time. Can someone please enlighten me about the logo. I have tried google but nothing really came up :) Some pointers would be very helpful. Cheers Didi -- My www page: www.ribalba.de Email / Jabber: ribalba at gmail.com Skype : ribalba

Artwork localization
Hello everyone, What do you think about having localized the following CentOS components: - Rolling notes in CentOS installer. These images are shown during the installation process, once the configuration is done and you are waiting for packages to be installed. Rolling notes are a great place to promote CentOS. If they are not localized, they are shown in English language by default.

It's time for the CentOS Artwork SIG, and anyone else that's interested in contributing to this effort, to start working on everything that will be needed for the new release. What we know we need is anaconda artwork, and new desktop backgrounds to replace

ArtWork edit
Dear Russ. I have noticed your recent edit of the ArtWork page. First thanks for the grammar corrections. Besides that I would like to ask you not to use the wiki to chat (at least with me, and I guess Alain, too). Just ask what's unclear and we will try to make it clearer. Let's start with the Denmark font: No, the font is proprietary and could not be shipped within the distribution.

[CentOS-devel] Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
Thanks Rich for drawing this forward, I had missed it. (I generally handle all the trademark usage queries.) The key reference is this one, the trademark guidelines: https://www.centos.org/legal/trademarks/ That document should give the GNOME project all of the authorization and guidelines on how to use and not use the CentOS marks. LinuxTag day One
The guys [3] at LinuxTag want to share some of the stuff they have been doing today. After setting up the booth [1] we started the usual socializing by doing this, we met Brian Schueler again who created a PowerPC 32 version of CentOS and even a ARMv5. This is quite impressive and we all gathered around to see a little demonstration. Further we talked to the usual suspects from Fedora and Red Hat

Hey I am just organizing the CentOS village at HAR and need a rough estimate of people who will be attending. What do people want? Shall the CentOS people have their own party tent? We are currently with the Fedora people. I will also post on the SL mailing list. Hope to see you all at HAR? Hey I want to start the next Newsletter early so it can be a little more relaxed. The next release will be the 1. April. I really need someone to *interview*, just drop me a mail and I will send you a few questions. This can be anyone from the community that has some sort of CentOS install. And then I want to introduce a new section called DeskShot where users can show off their workplaces.
