http://www.centos.org/docs
Hi,
Why does http://www.centos.org/docs not point to say this for example:
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/index.html
The latter is more comprehensive. The links that
http://www.centos.org/docs contains all have "upstream" labels on the
reading material, so I'm guessing the trademark boundries are not being
crossed.

[PATCH 04/28] net/au1000-eth: stop using DMA_ATTR_NON_CONSISTENT
The au1000-eth driver contains none of the manual cache synchronization
required for using DMA_ATTR_NON_CONSISTENT. From what I can tell it
can be used on both dma coherent and non-coherent DMA platforms, but
I suspect it has been buggy on the non-coherent platforms all along.

WinXP cannot join domain (Samba PDC on FreeBSD)
Dear Sirs,
I created user account "jupiter$" and did "smbpasswd -a -m jupiter".
That always worked for WinNT4, but WinXP refuses to join domain (I
applied registry "requiresignorseal" hack)
What do I need to add/remove from smb.conf ? I'm using FreeBSD.
smb.conf is attached

[OT] Witty one liners or computer related proverbs
Dear All,
I need some witty computer related proverbs or one liners that some of
have used in the past as footers for your emails for example.
I particularly remember a PERL based transliteration joke/footer that
when run in PERL produces a witty output....
This is to fix a problem internally created by an over zealous salesman
at my company pinning up A4 sheets with bullSh*t sales proverbs

http://taolinux.org/?q=node/view/2

brigth, blinking... in the very first page...lets try do to as all others are doing... its a pratical approach... not what we think about Red Hat trademark guidelines.

CentOS 6 (and 5.6) doc on http://www.centos.org/docs
Hi documentation team,
As CentOS 6 is now being released to the mirrors, it would be a good
time to think about putting the accurate documentation on
http://www.centos.org/docs
Red Hat changed their documentation license in the past and they are now
using the CC-by-SA license.
My own understanding (but IANAL) is that we can just share the
documentation , and just linking back to upstream

copying upstream docs to centos.org
Is there a place, from the upstream provider, where we can download the
multi-file html docs in a single file? Otherwise, I can download each
page manually or use wget to get everything recursively...
Is the footer the only difference? (besides any links)
Do we want to encapsulate each page into the centos site or keep it
printable, like it kind of is, currently.
Do we just copy the current

directing print.packageInfo to a file
There was a discussion on r-help of getting the output from
print.packageInfo into a file. Spencer and I have added a file=
argument to print.packageInfo for consideration in R. Had this
been available it would have simplified the answer to that
thread. If the file= argument is used then the packageInfo
information is sent to the file specified rather than displayed
using file.show .

Rewriting URLs - help needed
Hello -
I''m grappling with some tricky URL rewriting with Apache 2 and mod_rewrite,
and could use a hand.
Briefly:
URL for application is: www.servername.com/path/to/app/
There is no Alias directive; the application is in the directory
/www/content/path/to/app/ on the server file system.
The FastCGI dispatcher (dispatch.fcgi) lives at:
/www/fcgi-bin/path/to/app/dispatch.fcgi

www.centos.org and the wildcard dns
hi guys,
At the moment there is a www.centos.org site. There is also a wildcard
dns setup that directs anything.centos.org to www.centos.org's content
This has a couple of 'issues' with SEO and google sepcifically. The
reason we have such low page rank is that google marks all of this as
duplicate content. I am sure there are other search engines that do as
well ( Bing has a

llvm.org/docs/ stopped updating
Hi,
it seems like http://llvm.org/docs/ stopped updating around 2018-01-03
(the footer at http://llvm.org/docs/ says `Last updated on
2018-01-03`). I've committed a new page [1], on the 4th but it does not
show up yet.
I could not find any public logs of the doc-builder. It would be great
it someone could have a look.
Cheers,
Florian

Favicon?
I''m sure I''m missing something rudimentary here...
I seem to be having difficulty getting my favicon to appear. I have my
favicon.ico in the public folder. I''ve configured my route.rb to route
the intro page to my "home" controller. I''m using application.rb in my
views to template the headers and footers.
Here is the tag in my <head> in the

Red Hat Legal Targets www.centos.org website content
To squelch the questions (related to the changing content on
www.centos.org), I decided this needs to be published.
The CentOS Team has been contacted by representatives of Red Hat's hired
legal team regarding the use of Red Hat Trademarks on www.centos.org.
(Full Email follows.) While the CentOS team feels we are using Red
Hat's marks in a fair and legal manner, we have no choice

Hello everyone.
It seems that I can post to the list now. Great. [1]
