gplpv driver correctly supports 9GB RAM in Windows 32bit?
Hello I have Debian Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 Xen 4.0.1, 2 SAS drives in RAID 1, 16GB ram. I have virtualized Windows 2003R2 32bit where you install the latest version 0.11.0.295 gplpv After reading and reading forums and post testing, I noticed that the hard disk performance drops significantly when I assign the windows domU 9GB ram. Problem w/ b95 + ZFS (version 11) - seeing fair number of errors on multiple machines
Hi, After upgrading to b95 of OSOL/Indiana, and doing a ZFS upgrade to the newer revision, all arrays I have using ZFS mirroring are displaying errors. This started happening immediately after ZFS upgrades. Here is an example: ormandj at neutron.corenode.com:~$ zpool status pool: rpool state: DEGRADED status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was

xen3 domU on xen4 dom0
Greetings! Trying to to run a xen3 domU on a xen4 dem0 I run into problems. The xen server ''XEN1''(dom0) is openSUSE-11.3 (kernel 2.6.34) and xen-4.0.1. With qemu I created an image ''M08.raw'' from the SUSE-9.3 (kernel 2.6.11) and XEN-3.0 installation CD''s. The XEN modules were included in the installation. In M08.raw/boot I configured grub/menu.lst:

Strange Network behaviour
Hi there, my Server: Debian 4.0, XEN xen-hypervisor-3.0.3-1-i386-pae I have successfully installed and running 13 domU. I have enough free ressources for number 14. I set it up in exactly the same way like the others. Once started this dumU Nr 14, every other domU lost its network connection. If I shutdown Nr 14, everything is working finde again. Is there a maximum number of domUs per Host?

opensolaris crash in vn_rele()
My newly upgraded opensolaris 2008.11 laptop crashed last weekend. (The OS was installed from the os 2008.11 live-cd and then upgraded using the package manager to snv_111.) I was trying to copy a large virtual pc image from my wife''s imac to the laptop. On a whim I had decided to create a separate zvol in the root pool to contain the image, figuring I could create a vbox with linux or

Is it possible to do a dual-boot?
Dear all, Actually, I want to create my own test-bed based on xen hypervisor with centos prefered. However, all I have is one desktop (with a good hardware performance). So it possible to have a dual-boot (a linux for daily use and the other for the test-bed) ? Keymap definitions via virsh XML definition?
Hi, up to this point, I had never bothered about local keymap settings for my domUs because I only ever used RDP to access windows domains and serial for solaris/linux, but today I really needed to use the VNC console with a german keyboard layout. This is still on snv_111 I had tried setting <graphics type=''vnc'' port=''5900''

question about disk performance in domU
Hi all, When I ran the experiments to compare an application''s execution time in both a domU (named cctest1) and a native Linux machine (named ccn10), I noticed the application executes faster in domU. The host of the domU (named ccn9) and ccn10 are two nodes of a cluster and they have same hardware configurations. domU (cctest1) is created by exporting loopback files from dom0 on

Oops: zfs-auto-snapshot with at scheduling
Hi all, I''ll attach a new version zfs-auto-snapshot including some more improvements, and probably some new bugs. Seriously, I have tested it, but certainly not all functionality, so please let me know about any (new) problems you come across. Except from the change log: - Added support to schedule using at(1), see README.zfs-auto-snapshot.txt - take_snapshot will only run if
