r8169 Update
Bill, your CentOS 5 RTL8110 page should probably be updated. I've confirmed that there's a newer r8169 driver in the kernel that works with the RTL8110. RealTek's web site now carries the new r8169 instead of the r1000. The newer driver fixed a problem I was having on one host so we should probably recommend it over the older r1000. I've updated my CentOS 4 page. Kirk Bocek

panic ... recursive mutex_enter installing a snv_85 domU on Linux dom0
While attempting to install snv_85 as a domU, Debian etch as the dom0, the kernel panics before the rest of the system starts to boot. Currently I''m using the sid releases of xen 3.2 found in Debian sid. I stopped using 3.0.3, as it appears I''m unable to use a ramdisk setting. # dmesg | grep -i mem ... Problem with CentOS 5.1/xen/RTL8110
Hello: I'm having issues with my CentOS 5.1/Xen installation. If I run the xen-bridge, I seem to get flaky ethernet. By flaky I mean everything seems fine from the host machine, but if I attempt to contact the host machine from another remote machine (eg. my laptop which is on the same subnet as the xen machine, separated by 10 ft of cable and a router) I either get extremely high ping

I have the box dual booting SNV85 Dom0 and F8 Dom0. Both Dom0s utilize same ethernet interface for connection to ADSL Modem acting as DHCP Bridge (ZyXEL P660RT2). Both Dom0s obtain IP adress from ISP at boot up with no problems. 1. When i install SNV85 DomU at F8 Dom0 ( vif=['' '']) with DHCP option it gets IP adress from ISP in 1-2 min 2. When i virt-install SNV85 DomU at

DNS backend SAMBA_INTERNAL name resolution through VPN
Hi, My problem is about DNS names resolution in case there are two DNS servers separated by a VPN and one DNS domain name. Context: two Samba AD DC on each side of the VPN, one forest, one domain, one site, two subnets. Note that this target configuration is not yet operational since I'm trying to make the DSN names resolution work first through the VPN. The DNS servers are Samba internal
