DNS resolutions is not working in a Solaris 10 DomU
Hi, I found a problem with the DNS resolution in a Solaris 10 DomU. The Test Environment was: I installed the Xen bfu on top of Solaris snv43 and booted the Dom0 with Solaris. Then I installed and booted a Solaris 10 DomU. In the Solaris 10 Dom0 the DNS resolution works; in the Solaris 10 DomU the DNS resolution does not work as expected: Inside the Solaris 10 DomU I can''t use

Linux Live CDs with Xen Support
Hi, does anybody have a list of working Linux Live CDs with Xen Support which I can use in a Xen Domain? What I''m looking for is more or less something like Knoppix with Xen Support so that I can use the yet-not-supported hardware of my Ferrari 4005 in the Linux Domain regards Bernd This message posted from opensolaris.org

Valid Users in Samba 3
All - I'm having a problem with the "valid users" directive working. I have an Accounting share that only the Accounting department should have access to. However, I am unable to lock the directory down so only they can access it. I am running samba-3.0.0-2 from an RPM on RedHat 9.0. Below are details of my trials. This is a pretty urgent need, please. Thank you! smb.conf

Damm Small Solaris
Hi, for what it''s worth: There''s now a new Live CD for Solaris called Damm Small Solaris: http://www.sunhelp.ru/archives/179-Damn_Small_Solaris_0.1.1_English_Page.html In contrast to Belenix this Live CD works in Qemu - even without kqemu load the performance is not so bad. One important missing are the network driver for the network adapter emulated by Qemu. But they

Finally winbind on RH9 working, but why ?
Hi, maybe (probably ??) it's me, but it took me more than a week to get winbindd working on Redhat 9. It works now after changing a parameter in smb.conf, but I have NO idea why. Maybe some of you already had the same problem. If so, PLEASE clearify ! Thanks... PS as you will see later, getent group also does not work. This is an independent problem I think... can it have something to do

Winbind Question...
Hullo All, Just a simple question... I planning have an HPUX Server with SaMBa 2.2.3a and Winbind running to allow WinNT users to login in the server. As far as I know, when WinNT is down, Winbind doesn't authenticate the users. OK, is there any chance to Winbind store users in a cache, or something like that? VirtualBox and CentOS
I recently doownloaded and installed the latest RHEL5 rpm from the VirtualBox web site. While it generally works very well, I have been unable to get USB access to work on the guest. This seems to be a very common problem. Many references to it turn up in a web search, but I have not found a solution that works on CentOS 5. I got no response on the vbox-users mailing list either. Can anyone

How to configure default NIC when creating Guest
Hi All, I have a machine with three network cards, and the third card(named e1000g2) is in use now. I want to use e1000g2 as default NIC when I create Guest. How can I change the default NIC? I can override the default value of config/default-nic property of svc:/system/xvm/xend. But xend still use e1000g0 when creating Guest. BTW, I can explicitly set "bridge=e1000g2" when creating

Some errors in the blogentry with instructions on how to install Xvnc on Solaris
Hi, I created my first Xen DomU running Solaris today using the instructions from this page Creating Solaris domU virtual disk images at OpenSolaris.org <http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/How-To-07-2006/Solaris-domU/> and it works out of the box! That''s cool again! If you''re going to do the same (and I encourage you to do so!) be aware that it takes a
